Hoping to take the magic of the island and move it to the mountains with the Abbot family, purveyors of the odd and hard to find relics of a time long gone by in small-town Vermont. Hope you'll come with me to the Green Mountains! Watch for the first book in the series in early 2014!
The family-run Green Mountain Country Store is cherished by locals as a reminder of simpler times. The Abbott children are determined to keep it that way—but their father has different plans…
When Cameron Murphy heads to Vermont to build a website for a new client, she imagines a more relaxing trip than she gets. After wrecking her car by colliding with the town moose, she meets the most handsome hero she’s ever seen. Unfortunately, her savior, Will Abbott, is also the son of her client—and he wants nothing to do with the new website or the city girl creating it.
For all Will cares, Cameron can march her fancy boots right out of town and out of his family’s business. But he can’t seem to get her out of his head. As his family’s dispute heats up, so does the chemistry between the two, leaving them wondering if simple is better after all—especially when it comes to matters of the heart.
All You Need is Love is a love story, a family story, an opposites attract story of a city girl falling in love with a mountain man (and his family), leaving both wondering how to fit into each other's life, if that's possible at all.
Cameron is the daughter of a self-made billionaire, but has strived to make her own way. She has a rough romantic track record, always falling to hard and fast, ending with a broken heart. Her mother died in childbirth and her father is distant, longs for a family like the Abbotts. This city girl might seem like a fish-out-of-water when she crashed into the town, but she instead genuinely falls in love with the town's slower pace and charm, the store and community she's there to learn about, and the Abbott family.
Will Abbott was gruff and a bit grumpy in the beginning. Turns out he's charming, rugged mountain man with no interest in cell phones or pop culture, loves his family and his job. Will is still smarting from a former relationship w/a woman who seems to be similar to Cam, from the city and not interested in a quieter life in Vermont. I loved how flustered Will got when his brothers flirted with Cam, and it made him all growly (and reckless). Of course, this made the brothers flirt even more, which had me laughing. Honestly, though, Will is really the greatest type of book hero. He's not into casual sex or just getting some and moving on. He's not reluctant of evasive with his fast-developing feelings for Cam. He wants all of her, not just her body. This is the real deal.
I know practically nothing a about Vermont, but like Cam, I was charmed almost immediately. Force seems to have a great sense of detail necessary to create the perfect picture because this southern girl had no problem imagining herself in the snowy mountains of Vermont. And while the heart of the plot is one I'm very familiar with, All You Need is Love still managed to feel new and especially endearing.
Glimpses into the nine other siblings' lives provide a good incentive to become invested in the series. They were each dynamic, interesting characters and I can easily see myself loving all of them as much as Will. In a turn I found to be very cool, the epilogue seems to reveal that a couple of family may play as big a part in Cam and Will's story as fate. And they're not above a bit of scheming to do the same for the other siblings.
All You Need is Love is small town feel-good romance with a charming heroine, a vulnerable mountain man hero and his engaging family that any reader would want to be part of. I can't wait to go back to Green Mountain.
Favorite Quotes
"If you fall in love with me, Cameron Murphy, I'll never let you go."
Crying in earnest now, she shook her head. "Don't make promises you can't keep."
"I'm thirty-three years old. I've spent ten years mourning the one woman I loved who didn't deserve my love. You crashed into my life two days ago, and it's like those ten years never happened. Please don't make me spend the next ten years wishing you'd given me a chance."
"You're not being fair."
"If you fall in love with me, I'll never let you go."
He was the nicest, sweetest, sexiest guy she'd ever known, and in that moment she knew she was ruined for all others. There would never be another quite like Will Abbott, and the thought of leaving here and never seeing him again broke something in her.

Excellent Review! Between reading yours and Val's thoughts on this one, you both have me wanting this story badly! I love the small town community feel, and I love that will wants all of Cameron. I haven't read a book with Vermont as the setting, and since I love reading stories that take me to different places, that makes this one even more appealing!
