  4. Thanks for the giveaway. Here's a little tidbit from my son who was 6 when he said this..."I think that ice cream truck was probably trying to be a ninja by not having its music on." That year around Xmas time, when most kids are asking if Santa is real, he was asking if ninjas are real.

  5. Thank you for the great giveaway! When I was about 15 years old my sister and I used to call my mom the "Dirty Book Dealer" - because she had quite the romance collection that she would share with friends and her sisters. Now that I am older, I have discovered that my mom's books were a great read and a wonderful way to bond with other readers.

  8. What a wonderful Monday. Such a lovely surprise to stumble upon! I've followed Alice since the early fanfic days & I am beyond thrilled that her books are out in the world for everyone to read. Wallbanger is STILL my favorite, I absolutely love what she did with the polish version. I'll take a side of Simon with a little Clive on the side. Who wouldn't want a cat like Clive lol! ;)

  17. How about a story from my students?

I am a middle school librarian, and recently rearranged my fiction section so that it is in 3 main genres. When a student was talking to her teacher about what genre her book was she called it "Historical fiction non-fiction."

    What she meant was: Autobiography.

  19. I love having en e-reader for the simple fact that people can't see what I'm reading. Well, I was reading my kindle in the lunch room at work, I work at a health department, and everyone has lunch there. One of our doctors asked me what I was reading, and at the time I was reading Fifty Shades of Grey. But, I panicked and said Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (I've read the book, but not recently when he asked). He said that he was reading the third book, and started asking me questions. Let me just say that I could be a good poker player, because I bluffed by way through it. Not sure if it's funny or not, but thinking about it now I should have said Fifty Shades of Grey. I should own it instead of deny it.
