**This review is only for Yield to Me and Three Little Words**

YIELD TO ME by Sarah Castille

I've read two of Castille's books, one of which (Against the Ropes) was set in the world of MMA. Yield to Me is set in that world, but, the heroine is a fighter, which I thought was cool. The story centers on the relationship between Marcy and Jax, her trainer.

Yield to Me was a story that dealt with Marcy's conflicting feelings of her desire to submit, with the necessity to resisting the submission as a fighter. There's the angst of a relationship between coach and partner. But ultimately, it was a story of acceptance. I really liked Yield to Me.

Favorite Quote:

Kiss me. Kiss me. Kiss me.
As if he had heard her unspoken demand, he dropped his head and brushed his lips over hers.
Fire streaked through Marcy's body with such intensity she forgot to breathe, burning its way straight to her core. She blinked and then Jax was gone.

THREE LITTLE WORDS by Lauren Hawkeye

I am a huge lover of Lauren Hawkeye's books. Her Wicked Gladiators was the very first erotic romance I reviewed for Sexy Saturdays back in 2012, and I have to say, that book is still a favorite of mine.

In Three Little Words, I found a story unlike any of the books I've read of Hawkeye's, and her alter ego Lauren Jameson. Though I had no real expectations of Three Little Words (I didn't even read the blurb), I was taken by surprise by the tone and the story.

This was a really bittersweet, but ultimately happy story. True to Hawkeye form, it was very sexy, as well. The characters were a bit heartbreaking, their story tugged at my heart, and the romance had me raising a brow. I really, really enjoyed Three Little Words.

Favorite Quote:

But even though she tasted the same, the kiss felt different. We'd had plenty of heat between us before, but this kiss...
This kiss was a volcanic eruption, the lust like lava, exploding outward, not caring where it landed or who it burned.

SERIES REVIEW: HOLLAND SPRINGS SERIES (3-4) by MARQUITA VALENTINE

To the world, Alexander "Sasha" Romanov is a sexy, globe-trotting playboy that parties with the very rich and famous. But behind the façade exists a ruthless man willing and able to destroy anyone and anything standing in the way of his ultimate goal ...until he meets Rose Holland.

Twenty-three year old Rose Holland is perfectly content with her role as Holland Springs' most notorious woman. Despite her less than stellar reputation, themen and women of her small town can't help but shop in her store and ask for love advice. It's tradition, after all. Then Sasha Romanov appears in town, with his heated looks and charming smiles that seem to be for Rose only.

A series of unfortunate events leads to close quarters for Rose and Sasha. Extremely close. And neither can stop themselves from giving into their secret desires. But when the real reason Sasha is in Holland Springs comes to light, Rose's world comes crashing down.

Can these two enemies-to-lovers and then back-to-enemies again come together to save one another?

In Third Time's a Charm, the Holland Springs series moves in a bit of a new direction, centering on a member of the town's namesake family, Rose Holland.

But not only do we get the winsome Rose but also Alexander "Sasha" Romanov! If you've read Twice Tempted, then you may understand why I was so excited for the dastardly, sexy, (nipple-pierced) Sasha to have his own story. Honestly, he's shady. But when you find out why he's so easily bought and manipulated, well, Sasha becomes a much more likable, even lovable, character. And in the fact that he's so far gone for Rose and Ivy....swoon.

So in Third Time's a Charm, we have Sasha, who's looking for redemption and finds love along the way; and we have Rose, wise, caring, practically flawless. and down on her luck. Their love story is sexy, sweet, and without a doubt frustrating. And it was completely satisfying!

Here's my biggest compliment about Third Time's a Charm. With it's family of strong women rumored to be witches and living under a supposed curse, and it's hint of "magic", It reminded me sooooo much of an all-time favorite, Practical Magic. ( My friend Amanda, @luvmyHootie, had the exact same thought!) With this feeling Third Time's a Charm had me under it's spell.

Favorite Quote:

Leaning forward, he bent his head to hers. The heady fragrance of jasmine filled his senses. "Tell me."
"Violets are my favorite.: Her words were sweet and hot against his lips. The greenhouse grew hotter, more humid, and the flowers more fragrant, but nothing as potent as her. Rose's face seemed to glow and his heart thudded loudly in his chest. "Flowers have a language of their own. Sometimes I'd rather talk to them than anyone else."
A bead of sweat trickled down his back. He should concentrate on something else. Anything. He looked for Ivy, but she wasn't in Rose's arms anymore. There was a pram near the door. Rose must have laid her down. White flowers brushed his face again, directing his attention back to the lovely vision standing so close.
Swallowing, he said, :And what do violets say?"
  "I'll always be yours."

There's no time like the Present...

War Hero, Joaquin Morales, returns to Holland Springs after years of estrangement from his family...and his wife. His new mission: To convince his wife that they have a Future together.

Falling in love with her husband for the second time was *not* a part of Sage Caswell's plans for the Holiday Season. She's convinced that what they had belongs in the Past.
With the help of a little Christmas magic (and a well-timed snowstorm), can Joaquin and Sage's dreams come true?

I've stated often that I enjoy a well done novella, His Christmas Wish, a Holland Springs novella, definitely fits into that category.

We briefly meet Sage in Third Time's a Charm, and there was a hint that Sage's love life was in turmoil. That's a huge understatement, considering she's been married to a man she's not seen in four years, and their families are like a modern day Montague/Capulet pairing, which, you know that's totally full of familial drama. My favorite part of the story was the letters Sage and Joaquin exchanged while he was serving overseas. The emotions were thoughtful and exposed in a way only war and separation can cause.

His (Joaquin's) Christmas Wish is to win back his wife. It's clear Joaquin and Sage should be together, their history is bittersweet and romantic. The beauty in this novella seeing true love prevail. It was a sweet interlude in the Holland Springs series.

Favorite Quote:

Tell me, Sage. Write to me and tell me that what I feel for you is real--that what you feel for me isn't a fucking dream. That I haven't been reading between the lines you've written.
If I'm wrong, then feed me bullshit lines. Maybe that will fill up the hollow parts of my soul.

  I love you.
No matter where you go, or what you have to do in this hateful war, I won't stop. You are a good man, an honorable one and I wish I could be with you.
I'd hold you tight, so tight that you could feel my heart as it beats for you. Keep walking the line for me, but just know that I will catch you if you fall and help you get right back on.

Only problem for Daisy-underneath that cold exterior is a man that can set her on fire with just one touch. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15827271-his-christmas-wish

The Holland Springs series has given us the Romanov men, super sexy Brits of Russian heritage. Wealthy (obviously), ruthless, damaged. Twice Tempted was Christian Romanov's story. Just Desserts is his twin, Sebastian's book. Until now, Sebastian, estranged from Christian, has seemed cold, uncaring, all about power. And then he meets Daisy.

As with the previous Holland Springs books, Just Desserts involves a relationship of convenience. I never tire of this trope. even better when I find a relationship that has many little surprises along the way, with Sebastian and Daisy having a twisty and emotional path towards true love.

While much of the story takes place in magical Holland Springs, we also have a gorgeous English setting as well. The Romanov home(s) provide an emotional backdrop to Daisy and Christian's supposedly fake relationship. I really liked the way Valentine incorporated the setting into Christian's history.

Just Desserts is so far my favorite of the Holland Springs series. And what a sweet, romantic and magical series it is.

Favorite Quotes:

He didn't have time for this. There was a woman to be found, a company to run into the ground, and a father to commit to the worst and slowest imaginable death possible.
Really, what more could be expected of him during the holiday season?

"Don't kiss me again," she choked out, her eyes swimming with tears. Tears that he knew he'd somehow caused.
"Why the hell not?" he snapped, close to his breaking point. Jesus Christ, he hated this. He'd kissed her with a passion borne of late night chats and constant emails. Of shared nightmares and midnight confessions. Of dreams and wants that each had sworn to only share with the other.
He'd kissed her like he loved her, like he knew her, because he did.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15827271-his-christmas-wish

I love a good redemption story. Luckily, the Holland Springs series has them. What I love even more is a bad girl redemption story, and that's exactly what I got in Not Over You.

It doesn't matter that Summer Holland hasn't slept with every man in Holland Springs. It doesn't matter that she gave up her daughter for the right reasons. Small towns are ripe with rumors. The rumors about Summer Holland have defined her life. Driven her away from home, family, and her childhood sweetheart. She tries to pretend they don't hurt, but her sense of self worth is non-existent.

Gabriel Edwards has been rescuing Summer since they were kids. No matter the cost, he can never turn her away. I have to admit that until Not Over You, I sold Gabriel short. He seemed dull and undeserving of Zoe in Twice Tempted. He was detached and unfocused in Third Time's a Charm. But now that I know why he acted the way he did in those books, I feel nothing but love for the amazing Gabe. One more thing, Gabriel is a twenty-nine year old virgin. (I know!)

I didn't have nice feelings for Summer in Third Time's a Charm. She seemed beyond selfish and weak. Her actions were pretty awful, and I hated the way she was with Rose. But that story was told through Rose's eyes, and the facts weren't all in. When you see things from Summer's perspective, all the bad goes away. I loved that Valentine took this complex, broken woman with so much pain in her heart, and gave her a rdedemption of sorts. I relate in a big way with Suemmer and it felt good to experience Gabriel's unwavering love for her.

The Holland Springs series continues to be quite the treat. Not Over You is my favorite yet.

Favorite Quotes:
Summer, all alone in a meadow of spring flowers. Well, if you didn't count the hundreds of fireflies dancing around her.
Laughing with pure joy, she waved a hand in the air. The fireflies followed her movements, reminding him of kids playing with sparklers on the Fourth of July.
  His gut clenched.
The fireflies continued their dance, moths joining in. Something swept past him. He followed the blur and realized it was a bat, most likely trying to eat the conveniently provided snack.
Summer laughed again, drawing his attention back to her. She threw out her arms and spun around. He felt himself drift closer, like he was one of those moths... and she the flame.
"Summer." Her name was a prayer on his lips. A plea in his heart.

A masquerade, a hidden identity, a life-altering night, and heartbreak.

Seduction of the Billionaire was a sexy and intriguing prequel. I don't know Zoe or Christian, at all. But now, I'm very curious and I want to know them.

I'm anxious to really get started on the Holland Springs series!

Favorite Quote:

He wished he could arrest this moment: a gentle breeze, the moonlight shining down, and Amber in his arms.

Always, he wanted to say. He was always by himself, making his own way through life.

He's her best friend's older brother

Twenty-four year old Troublemaker Extraordinaire, Melanie Ann Smith, isn't asking for much out of life: a house without wheels, to travel further than her home state and her best friend's older brother, Carter Ambrose. Only three things stand in her way: juggling all of her odd jobs, keeping her daddy from gambling away all of their money and getting Carter to see her as a woman.

She is the one woman who's off-limits...

NASCAR racer, Carter Ambrose, has finally decided to take his doctor's advice and find a new occupation before another wreck on the track kills him. Only his doctor hadn't counted on his little sister's best friend, Melanie Ann Smith, crashing his weeks of solitude with her short skirts and platform heels. And that's not the least of his problems. His mother has decided that she wants grandchildren and the only woman that's good enough for the job-his ex-fiance.

Soon Melanie and Carter agree to a temporary relationship. One with benefits that is mutually satisfying in every way, or so each believes. And just when they are ready admit their feelings, family secrets are exposed, threatening Melanie and Carter's fragile relationship.

Will Carter risk it all for love, or will Melanie be left holding the trophy for second place?

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18583362-drive-me-crazy

After reading Seduction of the Billionaire, I was anxious to get more of the Holland Springs series. I was a little disappointed that Drive Me Crazy was not about Zoe, but her brother Carter and best friend Melanie. My disappointed quickly went away because I adored this story with the small town setting and beloved "little sister's best friend" trope.

Melanie and Carter were both likeable and interesting characters. Carter is a member of the golden Ambrose family, and has recently retired as a NASCAR driver to start a custom car business. Melanie is from the wrong side of town, and has been in love with Carter for years. When Melanie begins working for Carter, he quickly begins to see her as a woman and not a little girl. His ex-girlfriend, overbearing mom, her gambling, ladies man of a dad, and inferiority issues all come into play in the love affair of Melanie and Carter. But he's not about to go down without a fight.

Drive Me Crazy was a quick, light and fun read. I'm really enjoying the Holland Springs series, and am excited to read more!

Favorite Quotes:

"Now that's a sweet sight." All at once, he pivoted and her back hit the brick wall of the restaurant. He sealed his mouth over hers and cupped her breasts. For long, sweet moments, there was nothing but his mouth on hers. Nothing but tasting and pleasure. Nothing but Carter.

She kissed his throat and jaw, her sweet breath fanning over his sensitive skin. He let her legs slide to the floor, then claimed her mouth in a long kiss. Something hot and sweet washed over him as the tips of her fingers touched his face.
He leaned back to get a good look at her. At her flushed face and tousled curls. At the emotion shining clearly in her dark eyes.

Yeah, he was done. Forget done. He was worthless. No good for anyone but her.

"If I had Melanie's heart, I'd treat it like the treasure it is."
"Now that was poetic." Turning to face his sister, he was surprised to see tears in her eyes. "Quick. Write it down before you forget it. She needs to hear that from you."
He tapped his head. "Don't need to." But it wasn't in his brain. The words were written on his heart, signed and ready to be delivered to Melanie.

Even Bad Girls deserve a Happily Ever After

Finn was supposed to be the rebound guy, the one that got April Billingsworth over her breakup with her fiancé. Only one night turned into two, two nights turned into a week, then months of pure happiness. Now this former bad girl's ready to settle down and go the distance with the man she loves, until the secret Finn's been keeping from her comes to light.

There was only one rule, Private Investigator, Finn Kennedy lived by: Do not, under any circumstances, get involved with a client. That is, until he met his latest assignment, April Billingsworth, the current governor's daughter and Charlotte's most notorious bad girl. Not only has he broken his rule, but April has discovered his secret-he's been keeping tabs on her and reporting back to her father.

Devastated by the truth, April leaves Finn and tries to go on with her life, without the lying bastard. But Finn has other plans, he's determined to win April back. And this time, nothing's going to stand in his way.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18583362-drive-me-crazy

WOW. After reading Drive Me Crazy, if I'd been told that not only would I tolerate reading April's story, but enjoy it, I would have rolled my eyes.  April Billingsworth was awful in book one. She was a manipulative, snobby lying liar face, and I did not like her one bit.

"Even Bad Girls Deserve a Happily Ever After" is the tagline for Driving to You, and you know what, that is too true. Everyone needs a happy ever after, if the work to deserve it. Valentine did a great job of taking a hated character and showing another, more sympathetic side to April. April may never be the sweetheart of the series, but now I get her. And I actually liked her.

It probably doesn't hurt that April's love is a charming, sexy Irishman by the name Finn Kennedy. Finn and April's affair begins under a bit of deceit which tears them apart. In the meantime, we learn why April went to Holland Springs (in Drive Me Crazy) to win (or buy) back Carter Ambrose's affection, why she lied, and why she left so quietly. I was so pleasantly surprised by the answers, and loved how the two stories fit together to make a really cool story.

Of course, Driving to You is about April and Finn, and the lengths this delicious man went to in order to win back April's love and trust was just heart-melting. This novella is a great addition to the Holland Springs series.

Favorite Quotes:

"Are you trying to say that you're in love with me?"
  "No!"
She jerked back as if he'd slapped her. "Oh."
He held up his hand. "What I mean is that I'm not sure. I could be. Maybe? I know I like you and the sex..." He let out a whistle and gave her a wicked grin.
"I'm exceptional at sex," she said with a confident smile. And flexible. Oh, and willing to try things."

Finn made a face at his friend. "Shut it."
"This girl's got you all tied up, and not in a Fifty Shades kinda way either." Hunter popped a handful of peanuts in his mouth. "I say it's time for you to move on."
"While I say it's time for you to read How to Hold On to Your Mancards."
"Please, Tiffany is all about some romance and I'm the beneficiary of it." Hunter grinned, his white teeth flashing against his dark skin. "In fact, I bought her an e-reader for Christmas so she didn't have to wait--"
"Oh, Jesus." Finn scrubbed his face with his hand. "You don't actually read those with her, do you?"
  "Real men read romance, Finn"

Born into wealth and power, Christian Romanov is Hollywood’s favorite bad boy with a golden touch…until the day his agent receives pictures of the movie star celebrating his birthday in a not-so-legal way. Now he’s been ordered to find a small-town girl to be seen with in order to improve his partying image. He agrees, but for an entirely different reason-to protect the reputation of an organization that helps get teens off the street and back into the school. Not only is he the anonymous donor that's been solely supporting the organization since its inception, he's slated to be their newest spokesman.

Zoe Ambrose is a hopeless romantic masquerading as a realist. But she’s also a successful novelist, trying to fit herself into a staid life when what she craves is the adventure she found one night in the arms of a playboy who never knew her name. When her successful crime series is optioned by a major studio, she travels to Las Vegas to find that the prince of her fantasies and single night of pleasure is the main contender for the male lead. But for four years Zoe has been publicly eviscerating the man who left her stranded that night—he’s the villain in her series! Now the movie star doesn't recognize her, and Zoe is determined to protect her heart this time.

When Christian braves the small town of Holland Springs and Zoe’s overprotective family to win the girl of his dreams, he finds that his Hollywood skills might not cut it—and learns a shocking truth he never imagined. Can he can tempt her again and finally give her the epic love story she has refused to write for herself?

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18583362-drive-me-crazy

When I started the Holland Springs series, I was hoping to find stories that were fun and sexy, heartfelt and sweet. A series that gives me the same feelings as Bella Andre's Sullivans series. And guess what, I've found it.

We first meet Christian Romanov and Zoe Ambrose in the series prequel Seduction of the Billionaire. And I do strongly recommend reading that (free) prequel because it gives you the reasons why Zoe is wary of Christian, and why he can't seem to forget his mystery woman from long ago.

Twice Tempted is the perfect name for this installment. Christian has twice tempted the cautious and sweet Zoe. And twice Christian himself has been tempted to forgo his ways by a sweet and tempting in her own right woman.

Twice Tempted was a very charming and sexy second chance love story. And now that I've gotten deeper into the characters and their stories, I am becoming addicted.

OH! Holland Springs is a town with a mysterious legend, one promising love and forever. When you finally get to visit the springs, it is MAGICAL.

Favorite Quotes:

"When you love someone, it shouldn't matter what they do. Serial killers and people who make chocolate-covered raisins excluded."
"We really need to work on your sense of humor."

There would never be another moment like this, so perfect and right. He would never have another woman look at him like Zoe was right now--like he'd hung the moon and stars for her. She didn't see him as Ian Romanov, the actor. She knew him, down to his most guarded secrets, as Christian Romanov, the man.

"Where were you last night?" Christian asked, ignoring the smirk on his cousin's face as they walked out of the bedroom.
  "I was otherwise occupied."
"You mean you were shagging some woman blind, and then got pissed."
"You say tomato and I say...We say it the exact same way."

EXCERPT

With his eyes fastened on mine, he stood up and pulled his shirt off, tossing it to the side before climbing over me. Dropping his mouth to my stomach, he began peeling my blouse off while his lips blazed a trail up my torso and between my breasts, not stopping until he reached my mouth and brought my shirt over my head.
He gazed down at me, his tender eyes burning into mine as he ran a finger down my cheek. “I’m yours, Liv. Tell me that you’re mine.”

REVIEW: COMING HOME by PRISCILLA GLENN

Coming HomeGenre: Contemporary Romance

Publication Date: 1/21/14
Format: eARC
Source: Author
Rating:  4 stars

Leah Marino hasn’t been on a date in two years. After discovering the man she loved had manipulated and deceived her, she refuses to even entertain the idea of a relationship. Instead, she focuses her attention on taking care of her family, a role she’s assumed since the death of her mother and the one place she knows her kindness won't be taken advantage of again.

When a nostalgic trip back to her childhood home results in a chance encounter with Danny DeLuca, a smart-mouthed mechanic who’s as attractive as he is mysterious, Leah's carefully cultivated walls begin to crumble. She finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Danny, despite his unreliable behavior and mixed signals.

But Danny has a secret...

One that could shake Leah's already precarious foundation and bring her world crashing down around her. Suddenly, she's faced with an incredibly difficult decision--is she willing to risk everything for the chance at finding the love she's always wanted? Or are some obstacles just too big for the heart to overcome?

First Impression... What a nice cover. I've loved both of Glenn's books, and hope the streak continues with Coming Home.

The Story... When Leah Marino revisits her childhood home, the kind owner befriends her, and introduces her to her grandson Danny DeLuca. Danny and Leah part ways, but don't want to let the connection go. A friendship forms, but Leah soon wants more. Danny runs hot and cold, and seems to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. Danny promises to tell Leah his secret, but knows he'll lose her.

The Characters... Coming Home is very much a character-driven story. Because of that, the story does have a slow pace. The downside to that is I was slow to get into Coming Home. The upside is, I did have a strong sense for the characters, their feelings and motivations.

Danny and Leah were both strong, likable characters. Looking back, it seems neither had an apparent flaw. It's nice to not feel annoyed by the MCs, for sure. Of course, this means that I didn't find either particularly dynamic, but I liked them both. Their story is more about making choices against outside circumstances.

Leah did have a bit of a sad background, losing her mother young and becoming the caretaker of the family. There was also a backstory with a jerk ex-boyfriend.

As for Danny, the big question with Danny is: What's his secret? What's the big deal? I'm not going to even hint at the secret, but I will say that I was surprised, and that I felt it was handled very well by the author. Very realistic, without taking the easy way out.

The Writing... Priscilla Glenn is a very talented author. As I've stated, I really enjoyed her previous books. Coming Home was an interesting story, and well-written. The style is very subdued, and I always find the powerful moments sneaking up on me. I never feel like Glenn is going for a shock-and-awe type of story, but more like quiet and profound.

The Heat...Perfectly complemented the story. Danny and Leah had a great, slow-building chemistry, one that held strong throughout the story.

In the End...  Coming Home is a slow burn type of story.  If you're looking for a well-written, introspective, and quietly powerful story, give it a try.

Favorite Quote:

He stared up at her, and the vice-like pain in his chest began to soften for the first time since he had entered her apartment. There was nothing she could have said in that moment more perfect than the words she'd just spoken.
Because no matter what she decided after this, even if she chose to walk away and never look back, in a way, she had just absolved him.
She had looked straight through all the horror and the ugliness, and she still saw him.
And when she laid her head back down on his chest, he rested his cheek against her hair and closed his eyes, wondering if there would ever be a man on this planet who was worthy of her.
