JINGLE BALL by Cari Quinn
"All I want for Christmas...Is You"

A sweet and very steamy story of a secretary who becomes lovers with both of her bosses, and falls in love with one of them. Wendy and Des were both very quiet, almost tortured people. Cole, the third wheel in this trio was so funny. The dynamics of the relationship was a bit tricky, as much for me as it was for Des and Wendy! But I really like how Jingle Ball came together in the end, a sweet love story.

Favorite Quote:

She was pretty sure she would've been shrieking about all of this if she'd been fully sober, but her inhibitions had come down just enough for her to follow her hormones. And right now they were aiming straight for the gift in Des's pants.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING by Raven Morris

Christmas is Coming was...INTENSE. You have a perfectly happy married couple who cannot get enough of one another. Jack and Deb have sex constantly. It was fun to see a story with an insanely happy, satisfied partners. Jack and Deb also like to give very naughty gifts to each other, namely, their best friends. Talk about sharing is caring! Christmas is Coming was hot hot hot. And that is really all I need to say about this one.

Favorite Quote:

Control was highly overrated unless he was losing it.
  Then it was everything.

LIGHT ME UP by Cherrie Lynn

I freaking LOVE Brian Ross, for more reasons than I can even explain, and more than you really want to know. When I realized Light Me Up was about Brian and Candace, the sound I made woke a poor sleeping dolphin somewhere in the Gulf.  I was dying to know what happened with Brian and Candace after Rock Me. I was ecstatic to find them in bliss. In complete and fathomless love, so completely in sync. It's hard to believe that a couple that perfect for one another, who get along so well, can be exciting. But they are. I want more more more of Brian and Candace. Light Me Up was perfect. My favorite story in the anthology.

Favorite Quote:

"When you look like this, dressed up, all f*ckin' perfection like a priceless doll, it's like you're theirs again. And I just can't wait to take you back. Make you mine."

AN INDECENT PROPOSITION by Stephanie Julian

This story was sexy, but also bittersweet and fraught with emotional tension. An Indecent Proposition had a bit of a Phantom of the Opera or Beauty and the Beast feel to it.  Keegan and Erik are best friends, but since Erik was severely burned in a fire, he has withdrawn from the world. Erik spots a woman he is attracted to, but fearing he would repel her, he pays her to have sex with Keegan, while he watches in the shadows. It doesnt' take the girl, Jules, long to figure out what's up. When she finally sees Erik, she isn't terrified, she invites him to join. And then it's a nice, steamy journey. Healing for Erik. I really liked the selflessness of the characters, the acceptance from Jules, and the friendship displayed by Keegan. The story was left unresolved in a way, but with the characters possibly headed in a good direction. Enjoyed it.

Merry Christmas to me!

Just when I think Olivia Cunning couldn't possibly shock me anymore, she goes and pulls another trick out of her bag. But, oh, what a present Share Me was. Since Share Me is a prequel to the One Night with Sole Regret series, the tone is completely different than the rest of the series. Share Me is, without a doubt, the funniest of the Sole Regret stories. The guys, led by the cheerful Owen, engage in some wicked fun decorating fun, much to the sad, grumpy Shade's dismay. The banter between the guys had me laughing out loud. I absolutely adored the repoire between Owen and Kellen, loved how they read each other's thoughts and finished one another's sentences. Share Me gives a lot of insights into the two men whose books will be coming up next. If this story is any indication, those books are going to kick some major ass.

As for the s-e-x. I don't even know what to say! It was hot, raging hot. The build-up to the finale is fascinating, erotic, and really beautiful, actually. Sensual. Now, that's not to say that a little bit of rock star insanity doesn't ensue, and the story took a wicked turn that I did not see coming. I literally dropped my Kindle, looked at my hubby (who had stolen my Kindle and had already read the story) and spoke in gibberish for a good four to five minutes. I don't know why I was so shocked, to tell the truth, perhaps it's because I was on my fourth very strong beer after a day in the city with my kids. But, I loved it.

Favorite Quote:

"All I want for Christmas is a pair of ball gags to shut you both up." Gabe lifted his book until all that was visible of his head was his foot-high red and black mohawk. "I'm trying to concentrate over here."
"Ball gags?" Kelly nodded. I can probably fulfill that wish."

  2. An Indecent Proposition has me curious. I feel horrible for Erik. I kind of hope he gets the girl. I would pick this up just for Candace and Brian's story! I loved Rock Me, even though I wanted to smack Candace more than a few times. Brian, was just....oh my! And that piercing?!! Whoa. ;) My husband reads some of my books, too. Enough said. Lol.

  3. I still need to finish this. So far OC's is my favorite. My post will be late today. Instead of staying home to read last night, we decided to have family time. We needed to remember how precious life is.
