I finally read Blindness by Ginger Scott this week, and I really enjoyed it. I had an idea of what it was about, based on that cover, but it was so different and so great. Blindness is free during the holiday weekend, so I encourage you to pick up a copy and give it a try!
The Rundown
First of all...did you see that I only took two review books this week? I'm so freaking proud of myself. But the two I did take, I'm very excited about. Beautiful Oblivion is the first Maddox Brothers book, and I'm excited to dig in. And Truly. I absolutely adore Ruthie Knox's writing, and am super excited to read this first installment in a new series, out in August.
And in other good news, I only bought three $0.99 books again this week. I've heard good things about Must Love Otters, The Wardham Series bundle includes a novella and two novels, and I'm not even going to tell you what Hootie said to convince me to buy A Gift for Jarrod.
There were some excellent freebies this week! Laura Florand's Turning Up the Heat is free on iBooks, and maybe Kobo, and $0.99 on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. She's my favorite! Home Matters is another rec from Hootie. I enjoy Marie Force's books and couldn't resist snagging a free copy of True North. I've heard good things about Rie Warren, so decided to pick up In His Sights.

ReplyDeleteOh Andrea, I'm loving your new blog design, its so pretty and simple! You definitely have been good book buying wise, lately I've been bingeing so much! I hope you enjoy all your reads!
ReplyDeleteI just got True North by Marie Force for free after seeing it here! What's even better is that the audio version was on $1.99 because I got the book first. That is a steal of a deal and audiobooks are so important to me. My commute is and hour each way but isn't near as bad when I have a book I'm listening to. I just downloaded Blindness as well. Thanks Andrea! :)
