Lucas’s ex-wife Sam isn’t happy that he’s moved on, and Sam begins harassing Sienna—everything from threatening emails to phone calls and even fake accounts on Your Toxic Sequel message boards slamming her and spreading vicious rumors. Sienna keeps this from Lucas since she knows how bad Sam is for his music.


It’s not until Sienna is attacked by a crazed YTS fan hired by Sam, and Sam starts to aim her verbal threats at Sienna’s grandmother, that Lucas finally reveals his secret. And it’s a big one...

EXCERPT

“Why did you make me leave?” I ask Lucas a little over an hour later. He’s several inches away from me on the oversized bed, with the back of his finger stroking my right palm in circular motions. It feels good, right. I pull the sheets over my breasts and turn my head to look at him. It’s dark outside, and in the bedroom too, but I can easily make out his frown thanks to the sliver of light coming from beneath the bathroom door. “What happened back in Atlanta?” I whisper.

“Does it matter now?”

I sink my teeth into my bottom lip to stifle a snippy reply. How can he even ask me that? One moment we were making plans that would turn our temporary arrangement into a permanent and completely non-professional one once we returned to Los Angeles and the next he was telling me I needed to leave. “Yes, it does matter now,” I say calmly.

“Because I was afraid.”

“Of Samantha?”

He immediately corrects me. “Of what she might do to you.” As if to emphasize his point, he twists a strand of my hair between his fingers before pressing his lips to it. “She would’ve fucked with you just to get back at me.” He drops the lock of hair and runs the pad of his thumb across my lips, the corner of his mouth lifting when I release a little moan. “I couldn’t let that happen.”

I start to sit up, but the crimson-colored blindfold that’s still wrapped around my left wrist keeps my arm rooted in place. Lucas uses this opportunity to slide closer to me, tugging the sheet back down to my waist. He bends over me and glides the tip of his tongue around my belly button.

There’s no way in hell I’m letting him do this to take my mind off of Atlanta.

“I’m a big girl, Lucas,” I say in an even voice. But my toes dig into the sheets.

“Sam is a crazy one, though.”

Using my free hand, I tuck my fingers under his chin and force his gaze up to mine. “What does she have on you?”

All Over You is a great set-up to Devoured. I'm not sure how I would've felt otherwise, because I did read this novella first, but I can imagine that without this look at how Sienna and Lucas met and parted, might not have been as powerful. 

Emily Snow did an excellent job of creating intensity and chemistry in such a short amount of space.

Alright, I want to start by saying that I bought Devoured the day it released...and I'm just now reading it. This makes me sad because I really enjoyed Devoured and All Over You, and I should have made the time for them ages ago. Funny enough, I've actually read the spin-off, Savor You, which is about Lucas's sister Kylie and bandmate Wyatt. It was really cool to read this book and knowing where pieces of Savor You fit in.

Maybe I didn't rush to read because I was an eensy bit worried about Lucas. I knew he was a rock star, and let's not kid ourselves because I am all about that. I think I was curious but also hesitant because I'd heard that Lucas is a pretty demanding guy, and that's fine too because I like cavemen apparently. I guess what made me hold back was the deal between Lucas and Sienna to save her grandmother's home. And for as much as I like bossy, demanding men, I don't like asshats or manipulators because even I have standards. lol  So you can imagine my relief that I really liked Lucas. I'm not saying he didn't frustrate the heck out of me, but I saw his angle, and his goals. And I was on board.

I also really dug Sienna. She started the story pretty mild and quiet, but definitely not as much as in All Over You. She seems content, maybe, but not truly happy. It seems like everyone walks all over her, and its odd (and cool) that when she and Lucas cross paths again, she has no problem standing up to him of all people. This intrigues Lucas to no end. Besides the romantic aspect of the story, Devoured seemed to be a personal journey for Sienna. One I very much appreciated.

Devoured was very much a slow burn in the physical relationship between Lucas and Sienna. This was great because the tension and chemistry that continued to build throughout the story kept me rapidly turning the pages and honestly, that build-up was often much hotter than the actual deed. It would have been so easy for Snow to fill the story with tons of sex, but it was way more rewarding to go the route she did. Devoured had Anticipation. And I loved it.

I'm honestly not surprised I enjoyed All Over You and Devoured. I've read all of Emily Snow's books, and have truly enjoyed each. Lucas and Sienna went through some tumultuous and sexy times, but I LOVED that ending. I am both nervous and extremely excited to see how their story ends in Consumed.

Oh wow, I really, really loved Savor You. I honestly had no doubt that I would at least enjoy it, since I loved another of Snow's books, Tidal. And here is where I confess that I haven't read Devoured or All Over You, though I do own them. So I wondered if I would feel at all lost, with this being a spin-off of the Devoured series. No worries, because I was not lost at all, and I am even more anxious to read the Devoured series now!

Savor You is the story of Wyatt and Kylie, two people who can't stay away from each other for long, but can't quite to get it together and make a go at a real relationship. Kylie is the younger sister of Lucas Wolfe, lead singer of Your Toxic Sequel from Devoured, and is also his assistant. Kylie is a tough chick, doesn't put up with grabby hands or anyone's bull. She's been through rough times, before and after becoming involved with Wyatt. Kylie was not fragile by any means, but had a softness behind her tough exterior. She was funny, sarcastic, and sexy. And it's easy to see why even a rocker who can have any woman he wants can't let her go.

Wyatt McCrae...UNFF. A tattooed, rocker with dirty blond hair...Emily Snow hit some serious hot guy triggers for me when she created Wyatt. He's not perfect by any means, and it's easy to see why Kylie doesn't feel a true relationship with him is a good decision. Wyatt has made some bad choices over the years, and Kylie has ended up hurt. But now Wyatt wants Kylie to be his, for good, and will have to prove that he's a changed man. That he loves her.

I can't seem to really get my thoughts on Wyatt and Kylie in proper order, and explain why their relationship is so intense and why they just belong together, despite all the baggage and years between them. I always love a love story in which the couple has a long and tangled history. Emily Snow did such an amazing job of creating an insane chemistry between the two, an intensity that sparked and was hot enough to come off the pages. I could just feel the emotions, the longing, the need between Wyatt and Kylie. I could see the heated glances and the way Wyatt and Kylie gravitated towards one another. I wanted them together, I was desperate for that happy ending.

Savor You was a story that had me frantically reading and hoping, hoping, hoping until the very end. And Ohmygosh! Just when I thought I knew everything about Wyatt and Kylie, I got sucker punched by the best, most amazing little twist that made me gasp, get all teary-eyed, and doing a huge fist pump. This book just made me so happy, even when I was upset, from beginning to end. I'm so excited to see what comes next in the series, and have my fingers crossed that the next book will feature two amazing secondary characters in Savor You, Cal and Heidi. Regardless of whom or what it's about, I guarantee you that I will be reading it.
