A billionaire love story...

Matteo Benenati has spent his life wrapped in wealth and privilege. He is shallow, selfish, jaded—and he likes it that way.

When bold American art student Riley Tremaine crashes into his life, her light forces him to examine the dark places inside of his soul, the ones he thought he’d buried with his father. He knows he should let her go… but he’s never claimed to be a good man.

When Matteo is pitted against his unscrupulous stepsister Emilia Guerra in a bid for his late father’s empire, he must decide between honor and vice. In need of a wife—and desperate to possess her—Matteo makes Riley an offer she can’t refuse. She will be his bride—in every meaning of the word—so that he can protect his legacy.

But Matteo soon learns that Emilia’s soul is darker even than his own. And by marrying Riley, he has made her a pawn in a power struggle that could shatter their world.

This is book one of the A Virgin, A Billionaire and a Marriage series. It is a category length novel that stands alone- no cliffhangers!

My Review

A Bride For a Billionaire read like a bit like an old school category romance. You have a European billionaire with daddy issues, who needs a bride to inherit his fortune.  A fresh, innocent young woman with mommy issues, who really needs the money. And a marriage-of-convenience. A villain in the unhinged step-sister who's out to seduce him out of his fortune and will go to any means necessary to do that. These elements combine to form a twisty, seductive, over-the-top story. Despite that, or maybe because of it, A Bride For a Billionaire was fun. It was exactly as advertised!

I really had to let myself go with this one. I didn't really understand why Mateo found Riley so fascinating, other than she didn't fall at his feet and that her lady garden had never been...tilled? I did like that Riley matched Mateo's aggression, which probably made him even more hot for her, now that I think about it. The villain of the story, Mateo's step-sister Emilia, was especially nasty and bitchy. The lengths she went to in order to win were way over-the-top, and more than a little disturbing, but kind of right for the story. The ending was completely crazy-pants, and I heaven help me, I enjoyed a lot of it.

I never felt a strong connection to the story or characters. But I did enjoy A Bride For a Billionaire for what it was: a sexy, dramatic romp.

Favorite Quotes

"You didn't just want me out of the way," I say slowly, backing further away from Emilia as she tilts her head to the side, examining me as though I'm a bug she'd love to squash beneath her stiletto. "You want him for yourself."
Oh man, that's fucked. I may have hillbilly blood running through my veins, but even people I know don't get it on with their stepsiblings.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18469091-spring-fling?from_search=true

Spring Fling is an anthology with a really nifty concept: four young women on a Spring Break getaway in New Orleans. All four are also connected by encounters with the fortune teller, Madame Ysabeau. Sounds like an excellent time, yes? If you've ever been on Bourbon Street on a regular Saturday night, you've probably witnessed all sorts of craziness, never mind Spring Break or Mardi Gras. Just thinking about that is making my liver twitch. And forget about the fortune teller. Anytime I came across one, I was freaked way the hell out.

So anyway, I was excited about the set-up of Spring Fling, and anxious to dig in. What we have here is four sexy stories about women ready to let go, ready for a change.

In Share Me, we have Emma, who's been recently dumped by her long-term boyfriend. She heads off the New Orleans with her friends, but first she hooks up with Miki- in the plane's restroom, before takeoff, because WHY NOT. Down in New Orleans Emma and Miki continue to hook up, only now Miki has his friend David to join the banging because, again, WHY NOT. Revenge shenanigans against Emma's assface ex made Share Me a humorous story. Naked threesome photo op? Sure. Fake polygamous marriage scheme? Okay! (though explaining to your mom why there's a photo on Facebook of you in bed with two men doesn't sound like a good time to me).  The efforts to make Emma's ex jealous were both fun and ludicrous, but that's okay. All in all, it was a good time.

In Shake Me, we get a sweet and sexy former-unrequited love/second chance story. On Spring Break, Cassidy learns her boyfriend is cheating on her with her former friend Travis's little sister. They take off to New Orleans together to find out what's going on. Along the way, the two reconnect, with Cassidy learning some sweet and surprising truths about Travis and the way he's always felt about her. Cassidy learns to let go and seize the moment, Travis takes the opportunity to be with his favorite girl. I loved the combustible heat between them, and really enjoyed this novella.

Show Me...it was great. This was a novella about geeky, beautiful Eva, who feels like a wallflower. She seeks out Luke, her older brother's best friend, to teach her how to be sexy. What makes this so good, besides the best friend's little sister trope, is the feelings. Eva has been in love with Luke for years. but he's gorgeous and cool and older and she's sure he's out of her league. Excerpt, Luke feels the same! He thinks Eva is beautiful and sweet and he loves her geeky ways. He actually loves to listen to her! So we have Eva wanting Luke but not realizing he feels the same way, and Luke wanting Eva, but prepping her to snag another man. My heart! Of course, things work out, but I really adored this novella.

The last Spring Fling story was Shock Me, by Lauren Hawkeye, who's books I generally adore. In Shock Me, Callie is in love with her best friend Ryder. At a masked party, she thinks Ryder is finally making his move. The two get hot and heavy, but she gets a shock when she realizes she's doing the business with his brother Liam. Oh, the drama! But in this short time (approximately an hour?) Liam has decided he needs more of Callie, and Callie needs to figure out if she really wants Ryder, or to take a chance on his bad boy older brother. I really enjoyed Shock Me. Hawkeye did a nice job of making me believe Liam's quick attraction to Callie and her near-instant change of heart.

Spring Fling was a quick read, and I genuinely had a good time. I liked that each story had a believable ending. The two novellas with the established relationships both had me believing the couples could go the distance. In the other two, the authors weren't trying too hard to sell a HEA, but we did get the HFN with potential.

If you're looking for fun, sweet and seriously sexy stories to help you celebrate Spring, give this anthology a try.

You see models in Vogue and Esquire, and you drool and make "I'd tap that" jokes with your girlfriends. But no one in your life is really like that.
And then one day he's leaning across the aisle of a puddle jumper, smelling like citrus and dirt and musk and making you want to hump an armrest, and you realize that those models aren't all products of Photoshop airbrushing and the best horny imaginations of you twenty-something interns.
By God, they're real.     ~ Share Me

God, he loved this girl. Her sudden turnaround that evening was the best and the worst thing. It reminded him of everything about her he'd always loved, but he knew it could all disappear once she woke up.
Still, there was no place he'd rather be at that moment than in bed beside her. Worrying over what would happen the next morning wouldn't change anything at this point, so he allowed himself to savor the moment. If they woke up and were back where they'd been before, more enemies than friends, then tonight would have to be enough.   ~ Shake Me

"Eva," he began, then stopped himself. What the hell was he supposed to say? I'm crazy about you, and want to be your first...and more importantly, you last.  ~ Show Me

I'd known there was something special about this girl from the moment I set eyes on her at the party as she watched people do their intimate dance while pretending that she wasn't looking at all.
But her response to the things I'd asked of her--the sweet wonder in her eyes when I took care of her--combined with the fact that I already wanted to see her again.
No way in hell was I going to let her go.   ~ Shock Me

VEGAS HEAT by New York Times Bestselling Author Lauren Hawkeye

Anna Phillips and her husband Austin are in a marital rut. In a last ditch attempt to save their marriage, they decide to take a road trip. The destination? The Last Temptation Resort and Casino in Vegas... which is also a BDSM club... with an enticing stranger.

** This review is for Vegas Heat only**

I actually read Vegas Heat in it's prior form, as a serial. It's a story I enjoyed at the time, and in re-reading, I've learned I still do. Essentially, this is a marriage-in-crisis series combined with a ménage.
The story begins with Callie and Austin on the road, headed to a getaway spot unknown to Callie. Their marriage is in trouble. Conflicting personalities and closed off feelings have caused a rift between them that may prove to be irreperable. When they run into car trouble, Callie and Austin meet Liam, a sexy and very helpful stranger. Though she loves her husband and wants to remain true to him, she can't help but fall into lustful daydreams starring Liam. These dreams, which also involve her husband, offer a super sexy sneak peek of what's in store. With that kind of instant connection, it's a good thing they part ways and she'll never be tempted by his sexy body and face again....
Except...the couple reaches their destination and who do you think is there? Sexy Liam! He and Austin are old college friends, and Liam is there to help a buddy out. *wink* When Callie learns exactly why they're there and what the men have in mind, she is understandably confused, angry and vulnerable. She's also secretly intrigued. Once Austin and Liam finally get Callie on board, this trio start to rock.

Lauren Hawkeye brings a provocative and thought-provoking story in Vegas Heat. The portrayal of a troubled marriage, combined Callie's reluctance and Austin's angst makes it ring true. The story definitely ends with a bang. A sexy bang that left me curious and hoping to see what becomes of this naughty trio.

When he leaned over to check the air in his tires I dropped my purse into the dirt. His ass was tight, tight and hard looking, and for the first time in a very long time I found myself wondering what it would be like to touch someone other than my husband.
"Is this what you want, Callie? Is this what will make you happy?" Austin nipped at my ear and I shivered. I couldn't pretend that I didn't know what he was referring to, and when I looked over his shoulder and locked stares with Liam, I certainly couldn't pretend that I didn't want it.

**This review is only for Yield to Me and Three Little Words**

YIELD TO ME by Sarah Castille

I've read two of Castille's books, one of which (Against the Ropes) was set in the world of MMA. Yield to Me is set in that world, but, the heroine is a fighter, which I thought was cool. The story centers on the relationship between Marcy and Jax, her trainer.

Yield to Me was a story that dealt with Marcy's conflicting feelings of her desire to submit, with the necessity to resisting the submission as a fighter. There's the angst of a relationship between coach and partner. But ultimately, it was a story of acceptance. I really liked Yield to Me.

Favorite Quote:

Kiss me. Kiss me. Kiss me.
As if he had heard her unspoken demand, he dropped his head and brushed his lips over hers.
Fire streaked through Marcy's body with such intensity she forgot to breathe, burning its way straight to her core. She blinked and then Jax was gone.

THREE LITTLE WORDS by Lauren Hawkeye

I am a huge lover of Lauren Hawkeye's books. Her Wicked Gladiators was the very first erotic romance I reviewed for Sexy Saturdays back in 2012, and I have to say, that book is still a favorite of mine.

In Three Little Words, I found a story unlike any of the books I've read of Hawkeye's, and her alter ego Lauren Jameson. Though I had no real expectations of Three Little Words (I didn't even read the blurb), I was taken by surprise by the tone and the story.

This was a really bittersweet, but ultimately happy story. True to Hawkeye form, it was very sexy, as well. The characters were a bit heartbreaking, their story tugged at my heart, and the romance had me raising a brow. I really, really enjoyed Three Little Words.

Favorite Quote:

But even though she tasted the same, the kiss felt different. We'd had plenty of heat between us before, but this kiss...
This kiss was a volcanic eruption, the lust like lava, exploding outward, not caring where it landed or who it burned.

Welcome to Fetish Week.

Unleash your kinky side with three tales of BDSM romance in an exclusive Mediterranean sex resort from three hot erotica writers, including New York Times bestselling author, Sara Fawkes.

TAKE ME by Sara Fawkes
The minute sexy hotel manager Alexander Stavros spots shy, sweet Kate Swansea at the Mancusi resort, he can tell she’s begging for release. This Dom is the perfect man to help her… if she’s willing to let go of her inhibitions and enjoy the ride.

TEACH ME by Cathryn Fox
There’s nothing Luca Mancusi loves more than lingerie. So much so, he’s made it his business. Fashion design intern Josie Pelletier is supposed to be negotiating a deal with him, but as talks heat up, he can’t wait to teach her the ways of business…and BDSM.

TAME ME by Lauren Hawkeye

CEO Marco Kennedy can’t help being drawn to Ariel Monroe. When he follows the pop star abroad to the Mancusi resort, she agrees to a deal: He’ll win her as a sub through pleasure…or he’ll disappear from her life. Ariel’s game…just as long as she doesn’t lose her heart too.

Oh my, do I ever love a good erotic anthology. Especially one as neatly tied together as Fling. I am always looking for really good and steamy stories, and in Fling, I got three of them.

The three stories revolve around "Fetish Week" at a Mediterranean resort. All three stories offer a handsome Dom and an unknowing submissive. All three are stories of the Dom introducing his potentially sub to the lifestyle. All three were HOT.

These stories were the first of Fawkes' s and Fox's that I've read, and they were great. Both had the the immediate lure and nice pace needed for a short story. I will definitely be reading more of their books in the future. I am a big fan of Lauren Hawkeye, and was all too happy to take Fling for review when I saw her name as one of the authors.

Not only was Fling wickedly hot, but the emotional bonds between the characters were also very strong. Many short stories seemed rushed in that aspect, but these three authors make it work. BDSM stories don't work for everyone, and that's fine. I don't love them all either. But I do enjoy those that explore the psychological aspects of the lifestyle, and that is where Fling excels.

Take Me:

"You think I'm strong?" Kate piped up. "But I thought you liked the submissive sorts?"
Alexander snorted. "Just because a woman gives freely of herself to another in the bedroom doesn't mean she is a doormat for the rest of the world."   ~eARC, 13%

Teach Me

As she thought about that more, and how she was playing in Luca's territory, a place where
pleasures were paramount, she suddenly had an epiphany--what he was asking of her had nothing to do with business and everything to do with gratification. Her heart beat madly as she wondered how far she'd go with him...and how far she'd let him take her.  ~eARC, 46%

Tame Me by Lauren Hawkeye

Ariel sucked in a breath before nodding, and it wasn't until after she'd agreed that she understood.
There was no need to feel embarrassed because she was absolved of all responsibility.
She was not the one acting wanton, chained and open. She was presented that way because of him.
Relaxation unlike anything she'd ever experienced settled over her, the sensation not that different than if she'd chugged a liter of wine.
She had so many things to control her daily life. Being freed of the need to do anything but feel was...freeing.   ~eARC, 75%

Callie Mahone and her husband Austin are in a marital rut. In an attempt to liven things up, they decide to take a road trip. The destination? Wherever the pin sticks into the map. They each hope that the excitement wrought from new surroundings and an enforced proximity will kick start their flagging marriage, but when their car breaks down at a questionable service station on the way to Bandit Creek, a new element is added that changes everything. Liam Fraser, a sexy stranger that they meet at the service station, patches up their car… and then is thrown together with the pair again in Bandit Creek. Over the course of the short trip, Callie and Austin are forced to decide whether the benefits of introducing another into their marriage bed outweigh the alternative…
Terms of Desire and Terms of Surrender are the first two installments of the Tempt Me Twice Series by Lauren Hawkeye. Having read two of her previous books, My Wicked Gladiator and Pick Me Up (from the Hot and Haunted) anthology, I was eager to read more.

The Tempt Me Twice series reads as a serial novella, and I love reading the story in installments. In the first part, Terms of Desire, we meet Callie and Austin. The couple are on the road, headed to a getaway spot unknown to Callie.

I like Hawkeye's writing and knew I would end up enjoying Terms of Desire, but it took me a bit to really get what was going to happen in the series. This part is more about establishing characters and relationships. It did take a very nice turn towards the end and I was happy to already have part two on hand.

Liam offers to help Callie and Austin explore the side of their relationship that they have been hiding from... but first Callie must be convinced that a BDSM relationship is what she wants. Liam and Austin do their best to show her the pleasure that is within reach, and Callie wonders if what has always seemed forbidden can really be hers.

**This review contains spoilers for part one, Terms of Desire**

Emotionally Charged, Thoughtful, and Sexy

In part one of Tempt Me Twice, we meet Callie and the two men she desires, Austin and Liam. Now that the couple have reached their destination and Callie has discovered exactly why they're there, she must now decide if she is ready to submit to Austin and Liam's plan.

Callie is an unhappy chick at the beginning of Terms of Surrender. She's learned that Austin has brought her to the resort with a very specific, and naughty, plan in mind. To make matters worse, Liam is in on the plan. Callie, already feeling vulnerable, is understandably angry with the two men for making decisions on her behalf. But, she's also secretly intrigued. Once they finally get Callie on board, this trio start to rock.

The next step is to define their roles and learn to play by the rules...

Like part one, Terms of Surrender has a lot of emotional turmoil. Callie and Austin want to make their marriage work, and will work for that, but they each, particularly Austin, have some  issues they need to iron out. It's pretty cool that so many books these days deal with "roles" of dominance and submission. It's an interesting and valid topic and I can't get enough of it.

As for the sexy...Lauren Hawkeye definitely brought it in Terms of Surrender. It was a nice build-up, with enough reservations by Callie to make it ring true. The story definitely ends with a bang. A sexy bang that left me anxious for part three. I can't wait to see what happens next!

True Halloween pleasures don't come from sweets . . .

Indulge yourself with some tasty tricks and treats from three popular erotica authors as they serve up tales of chilling, thrilling passion.

Megan Hart's Nothing Else Matters

After surviving the zombie apocalypse, Lira wants nothing more than the sense of life that only lust can bring. Suddenly torn between two irresistible lovers, Lira must choose: the one who brings her carnal fantasies to life? Or the one who sets her ablaze again and again?

Lauren Hawkeye's Pick Me Up

Sure, hitchhiking is dangerous, but Holly just had to get away. Now soaking wet and stuck in a downpour with her roadside savior, she's ready for a little window-steaming and some role-play. It's all fun and games until Holly realizes she's met her match . . .

Saranna DeWylde's Little Red's Big Bad

Hunting werewolves and being snowbound in a remote cabin with a sexy FBI agent are all in a day's work for U.S. Marshal Miranda Garrick. But when business mixes with pleasure, can she stay in control? Or will she be tempted by unrestrained passion . . . and tantalizing danger?
Three sexy, creepy stories to steam you up!

Nothing Else Matters, by Megan Hart, is the story of Lira, a survivor of the apocalypse. The world has gone to hell and the only way Lira knows to escape the terror is through sex. Anthony, a fellow survivor, is the man she turns to when she needs to turn her brain off and her body on. The author did a fantastic job of writing very steamy and easy-to-visualize scenes. This story definitely makes me want to read more from Hart.

Pick Me Up, by Lauren Hawkeye, was the story I was most excited to read. I am a huge fan of her book, My Wicked Gladiators, so my hopes were high. I did like this, but I spent the first chapter or so completely confused as to what was going on. Regardless of what the situation was, the sex was great, as I've come to expect from the author. Once the big shocker was dropped, the twist that made Pick Me Up so creepy, I was hooked. To read a story with alternating dread and being turned on was an interesting experience.

Little Red's Big Bad was such a mind trip. It started out like a freaking scene from The Silence of the Lambs and I did NOT think I was going to enjoy it at all. But then the focus switched to Miranda and Aden, two Federal Agents trying to capture a serial killer. The scenes between these two were fantastic. Miranda was basically panting after Aden from the moment they meet, not even able to keep her hands off herself while thinking of him. OH, and I learned about an iPhone app that I never even dreamed existed! As you might have guessed, there were elements to Little Red Riding Hood, and I loved it! So even though Little Red's Big Bad started out iffy for me, the awesome sexual encounters and the surprise ending made me love it.

Hot and Haunted is three short, sexy stories that will leave you surprised and breathless.

SEXY SUMMER SATURDAYS, #1 {18+}

Sexy Summer Saturdays is a weekly post that Hackaroos Reviews, Attack the Stacks, Sims-Sational Books, The Autumn Review, and The Bookish Babe created for fun, to challenge one other to add a little spice to our reading and to spread the word about sizzling summer reads.

My first Sexy Summer read is a hot one. If you're under eighteen, you really need to skip today's post. ;-)

My Wicked GladiatorsAlba has spent her entire life pleasing others. As an upper-class plebeian woman in Ancient Rome, that is her place in life. But when her husband Lucius, the owner of a prestigious gladiatorial school, uses her body as a bargaining tool to increase his fortunes, she is faced with doing as he demands, or finding herself on the street. Forced to lay with masked gladiators chosen by Lucius, Alba is surprised to discover pleasure in being powerless. Only in the forbidden arms of Caius and Marcus does she find comfort, however temporary it may be. But with Lucius’ demands looming and the threat of death for her gladiators ever-present, will Alba’s fleeting pleasures be enough? Or will Alba finally grab hold of her happily ever after, no matter the consequences? ~From GoodReads

I'll get straight to the verdict. I loved MY WICKED GLADIATORS. I almost can't wrap my mind around everything that happened. So I thought the best way to review the book would be to break it down into two parts, the story and the steam.

The plot of the story was great. I used to love historical romance and have read several that took place during the days of the gladiators. The main character, Alba, is the oppressed wife of Lucius. Lucius owns a ludus, a gladiator facility. So of course, if your husband is an world-class asshat who'd rather get it on with the slaves than you AND you have hunky gladiators to lust over, what are you going to do? You're going to find the biggest badass gladiator around and tell him in no uncertain terms to service you, right? And that is exactly what our lovely Alba does. And apparently, once you go gladiator, you don't go...I can't think of a rhyme for that. But anyway, once Alba experiences a taste (heh) of Marcus, she's done for.

But...Alba's husband needs an heir to secure a business deal and he's shooting blanks. So, he does what any smart man does and forces his wife to "mate" with the ridiculously hot gladiators. What a dummy. And so, she is introduced to Caius. Now, Caius and Marcus are physically very similar. So much so that she is unable to determine which of the two she is breeding with (because he's wearing a mask).  Alba who is still having illicit relations with Marcus, has no idea who will be the father of her child if she does become pregnant, but as long as it's Marcus or Caius and not her sleaze of a husband, she's cool with that.

Here's where things get kinky(er): Marcus and Caius are having "relations" with EACH OTHER.  This is the norm in Rome, sexuality is very fluid. Alba's very concerned, though, because why do Marcus and Caius need her when they have each other? Never fear, fair Alba, because there is always room for one more in their life and bed and you are the secret ingredient they've been missing. Now, all the three need to do is secure their freedoms from the evil Lucius. Simple, right?

Like I said, the plot was great. It held my attention on it's own without the sex. But since I brought it up...

Holy. Freaking. Wow. This was, hands down, the hottest book I've ever read. Ever. Author Lauren Hawkeye did an awesome job of painting a smoking hot picture. Nothing is vague. I could visualize everything. I liked what I saw. <----Understatement of my life. My friend, Autumn, and I had a read-along for MY WICKED GLADIATORS. This read-along was full of rampant swearing. We took breaks to cool ourselves down, like this dude here

The book left us looking like this.

And one more, just because it's awesome and I'm all about the LOLs.

MY WICKED GLADIATORS is such a great read, it makes me wish I still smoked. And yeah, I'm going to be cliche' and say that it is a WICKED good time. I've already ordered my copy.
