I have so many book boyfriend so needless to say,
I’m beyond EXCITED to talk unlikely heroes!
There are so many amazing romance reads out right
now and I wanted to contribute to the genre in a way that was fresh! Many
romance novels showcase the male character in a dominant, rich, powerful
position over the woman. Which is HOT, don’t get me wrong, but I wondered if I
could flip that on its head and have a strong female character.
In Unravel Me, Ashlyn is a Ph.D. student studying a
man who has amnesia. I took all the power from my male character, but trust me,
he is still very much an alpha male, so it’s a fun combo.
And in Make Me Yours, I liked the idea of changing
things up from the traditional romance novel where the female character is so
often a virgin. I wanted to see what would happen when I paired up a sexually
confident woman with a guy virgin, choosing to stay that way until he met the
right girl.
And in Hard to Love, I went off the rails
completely, wondering what it would be like to fall in love with a porn star.
Yikes! Lots of trust involved in that relationship! And conflict, and jealousy
an attraction… *sigh*

Really enjoyed Unravel Me and I find it interesting how different she makes the relationships. Didn't realize this one would involve falling in love with a porn star! That would be difficult and there would be major trust issues. I think I saw the cage fighting part but not the adult movie part LOL But it sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing!

I haven't read anything by Ryan but I love that she is switching up the gender roles! That is so refreshing because it seems as if so many books are just following the formula that everyone has seen is working right now and it's starting to get annoying. ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of her books, but I've almost bought Unravel Me a few times. Hard to Love sounds awesome!! I loved this guest post about how she writes her male characters. I like that she isn't afraid to do something different and unexpected. I love that she wants to show the woman as strong since so many romances have the woman being insecure or weak and need the male to be in charge and help her out of her shell.

I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to do this since I've tried others so-called spells casters and they did not work and was a waste of my time and money.
