Thirty-five year-old Allison “Alli” Lancaster has it all—a fabulous job, a beautiful 15 year-old daughter, a hilarious BFF and a gorgeous house with a pool and Jacuzzi in an exclusive Las Vegas neighborhood. What she doesn’t have is a husband, because she kicked her lousy, cheating ex to the curb nine months ago. Since then, Alli has paid her dues with seemingly endless self-improvement and seemingly endless mourning. Now she’s ready to move on and try new things.
Alli’s idea of “trying new things” is nothing like that devil-of-a-best-friend of hers. Somehow, Sara, the devil of a best friend, talks Alli into trying out a sex toy, sleeping with a younger man and letting a stranger in a lab jacket put hot wax on a place that should never, ever, ever see wax. And that’s only the beginning.
Alli never saw her life going quite like this. She also never thought she’d meet someone else who had the very real potential to change her life forever.
But she did.
Enter the new guy. He’s gorgeous, refined and mature. He’s also marriage material. But that poses a problem for Alli, who renounced the institution of marriage when she renounced her ex. What’s a girl to do?
They say that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. But what the heck happens when you can’t leave Vegas? Well, you spin the wheel, of course. You play the game and let the chips fall where they may.
Alli just hopes she can find them all.

"Life threw grapes at me but I turned them into wine. God I love wine."
I'm going to be straight-up here...I freaking LOVED Confessions of an Alli Cat. This book was absolutely, perfectly brilliant/hysterical/jaw-dropping and flat-out wonderful.
Seriously, I had one of the best times I've ever had while reading Confessions, and was in such a great, playful mood during and after reading it that I think my husband was a bit (happily) puzzled and I think he might have thought that I had taken up day-drinking. But really, I was simply high on the charming Alli's laugh-out-loud adventures.
I had been warned that I would fall in love with Confessions. My BFF Autumn was a beta reader for the book and she loved it so much that she called me to tell me how brilliant the book was and how she just knew that I would love it too. I have to say, Autumn knows me soooo well, and was absolutely right about my feelings for this book.
Confessions of an Alli Cat is essentially the story of a woman who is learning to get back in the game after the man she loved for many years left her. Her entire adult life was spent with one man, and let's just say that Rick the Dick (her ex) was NOT attending to her needs. At the
At this point, I need to stop and say that in another life, and other circumstances, I AM Alli and Autumn IS Sara. I swear, I had to stop and message her in disbelief because the similarities were so freaking similar. And I do want to point out that though our lives aren't the same, I can say with all certainty that all of us Alli's (me) need our Sara's (Autumn) to help break us out of the shell that holds us back. I can't wait to read Sara's book. It is going to be balls-to-the-wall INSANE.
And the steam? Whoa baby, the sex in Confessions was so damn good. Shade, Alli's hired gun, is a young man who knows how to work it out. That boy was exactly what Alli needed to help her break out and unleash her inner bombshell. Alex, the older, more suitable counterpart was so perfect and so sexy...I wasn't sure what Alli would do, but Cole offered a surprising and very clever scenario and I was uber-pleased with how this story line ironed out. Damn, the woman can write some steam. *fans self*
I really feel like that all I need to say about Confessions of an Alli Cat is that it is sexy, sweet, hysterical and one of my most favorite books I've ever read. I feel as if it was written specifically for me. Ladies (and even men, because my hubby loves this book!), I insist you read Confessions of an Alli Cat. You can thank me later.
Favorite Quote:
"Oh holy pygmy monkeys," I moan, wanting desperately to cradle my vagina and sing to it.
I'm sorry, my pet, I tell it silently. I know I promised that I wouldn't hurt you. It was her idea. Not mine.
"Alli, you're going to be fine," Sara says impatiently. "Beauty comes with a price." I can hear a tiny bit of sympathy in her voice now, though. Because of that, I wonder if I'm bleeding down there.
"Not now, Sara," I say through gritted teeth. "I'm apologizing to my vagina."
Waxer-Girl laughs out loud now, and I glare at her. She averts her gaze instantly and applies more wax.
Holy. Sheep. Shit." (eARC, 34%)
A grin slowly spreads over Shade's face.
"That's perfect. Men like to look," he explains. "And women don't usually like to be looked at. They feel vulnerable, exposed. They are self-conscious about their perceived flaws. What they don't understand is that men don't see them the same way they see themselves. We see curves and we love those curves. Confidence is sexy as hell, Alli Cat. It's the sexiest possible thing that you can wear." (eARC, 55%)
