Wow! How time flies!
I've been meaning to do a Follower's Giveaway for a while now. The plan was 300, then 400. Time kept slipping by. When I blew past 500 and into the 600s, I knew I had to get this going.
I can't believe that I have been blogging for half a year now.
When I started blogging, I knew nothing. There has been a lot of trial-and-error. And some days, I just felt like giving up. I've learned to let my voice flow freely and stay true to myself. I've studied and learned tricks from bloggers I admire. I've found out that weekly memes are fun and a very important way to friend really cool blogs. I've learned that vlogs are fun and a great way to get people interested in what you have to say. Maybe most important, schedules are your friend, people! (Seriously, my stress level over my reading list has gone way down.)
I just want to thank a few people who encouraged and supported me when I started out:
Author and, more importantly, friend Tiffany King . Tiffany is funny, generous, and a fabulously talented author. She gave me so many shout-outs on Twitter when I was getting started. And she sponsored my very first giveaway.
Author and friend Angeline Kace. Angeline is one of the very sweetest people I know. She has been so awesome and supportive of me and this blog. She's absolutely beautiful, inside and out.
And....
The one and only (if you know her, you know what I'm sayin'!), outrageously talented and funny
Kendall has been an amazing part of this experience. She has probably been my biggest cheerleader. And, she leaves comments!! Y'all know, comments make the blogging world go 'round.
My biggest thanks belong to the Followers! I appreciate each and every one of you.
I know that I have forgotten someone who has been so important to this experience and I'm sorry!
Okay, enough babbling and blathering. It's

ReplyDeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on this beautiful event. The schedule thing I still need to learn *sigh* my stress levels are sort of high up right now.
But it's a beautiful experience, blogging, especially on books. As a "young" blogger myself, I can say I never get over how awesome people are, and that sense of community, of being together on the basis of our common love of books...it's a greatly beautiful thing.
So thank you for making the book-loving beauty go around :)
Best,
Livia {Butterfly-o-Meter Books}
this is a terrific giveaway!! thank you & congrats to you & your blog!!!!
ReplyDeleteIncredible that you've built up to over 600 followers in only six months. That's crazy awesome! Congratulations, and thanks for mentioning me. I rarely get to read books, but I enjoy reading/watching your blog. So glad you review indies too. People like you, who are willing to see beyond what NY has to offer, give indies strength to break out. Keep doing what you're doing! Hugs, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kendall, it's so wonderful that you take on Indie authors. It's the brave bloggers like you who really help break down the stigma against self-publishing. Congrats Andrea, you're awesome :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so very generous giving away all these books! And congrats on so many followers :-)
