BOOK SPOTLIGHT AND GIVEAWAY: INK (PAPER GODS #1) by AMANDA SUN

Sometimes I receive books that I just don't connect with. It's sad but true. Ink just didn't work out for me as a reader, but I know many others have loved it. So I want to pass this highly anticipated book on to another read, and I hope that it rocks your world!

Here are a few links to two positive reviews of Ink on Goodreads.

Ink (Paper Gods, #1)Series: Paper Gods #1
Category/Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Publication Date: 6/25/13
Format: ARC
Pages: 377

I looked down at the paper, still touching the tip of my shoe. I reached for it, flipping the page over to look.

Scrawls of ink outlined a drawing of a girl lying on a bench.

A sick feeling started to twist in my stomach, like motion sickness.

And then the girl in the drawing turned her head, and her inky eyes glared straight into mine.

On the heels of a family tragedy, the last thing Katie Greene wants to do is move halfway across the world. Stuck with her aunt in Shizuoka, Japan, Katie feels lost. Alone. She doesn’t know the language, she can barely hold a pair of chopsticks, and she can’t seem to get the hang of taking her shoes off whenever she enters a building.

Then there’s gorgeous but aloof Tomohiro, star of the school’s kendo team. How did he really get the scar on his arm? Katie isn’t prepared for the answer. But when she sees the things he draws start moving, there’s no denying the truth: Tomo has a connection to the ancient gods of Japan, and being near Katie is causing his abilities to spiral out of control. If the wrong people notice, they'll both be targets.

Katie never wanted to move to Japan—now she may not make it out of the country alive.

  7. You know this is a weird instance where I kept myself in check. I had seen that this one went on NG and I was hovering above the request button just because of the pretty cover, but I stopped myself and I am so happy about that. I don't think this one would be for me either. Great of you to pass it along to someone who might like it more!

  8. I saw that you didn't like it on GR and I was all sad face. I wasn't overly extatic about this one, but I did enjoy it to some extent. I found the ending stronger than the beginning and I kinda want to know what happens next now. Heh. We'll, we're not all supposed to like the same books, but I'm sad it went like this for you with Ink. *hugs*
