To forgive or not to forgive…
There’s a storm brewing at Black Cat Records and lead singer Marcus Anthony and guitarist Avery Jones are at the center of it.
Brutal Strength is leaving Vancouver and heading out on a big stadium tour with the reprobate rockers from Tempest as their opening act.
Avery is forced to deal with a troubling figure from her past while being pursued by Tempest’s tatted bad boy, Bryan ‘Bullet’ Jackson.
Meanwhile, Marcus must battle his own internal demons as well as this rival for Avery’s affection.
Can Avery and Marcus keep their fairy tale happily ever after together when the prevailing winds of the real world are against them?
Love Resolution is the third book in the Black Cat Records series.
**A new adult contemporary novel with mature subject matter**

Rock 'n Roll can break your heart.

So... Avery and Marcus have come a looooong way since the first book in the Black Cat Records series, Love Evolution. And it has been a true whirlwind. A match that started out under very misleading and awkward circumstances, somehow Avery and Marcus managed to get through all the nonsense, and are a phenomenal rock star couple. When the real world of touring, photo shoots and media crashes into their everyday life, Marcus and Avery will be forced to find out if the truly have what it takes to make their love last. Add into this a fellow rocker who's gunning for Avery's heart, and the outlook doesn't look good.

I have to say, this series just gets better and better. I didn't fall in love with Love Evolution, but I was interested in the characters, story and what would happen next. Love Revolution veered away from Marcus and Avery and focused on band mate JR and tour assistant Sam. There was also an unlikely, and really endearing love story about Sam's superstar sister Sara and rocker Chris Alex. I enjoyed those stories, but was definitely ready to have more Marcus and Avery. The author really puts these two through the wringer in Love Resolution. It was soooo hard to see these two go through so much, but this brought more authenticity to the relationship between two rock stars. Or so I would imagine. I will also point out that I think the author's writing is getting progressively stronger with each book in the series.

Love Resolution was emotionally trying, but in such a good way. I really, really loved how it ended, particularly for the main characters. But, I also love what's cookin' for another character in the series, and am excited to read his story in book four. With the way the series has improved over time, I can only imagine how hard Black Cat Records #4 will rock!

Favorite Quote:

He put a hand over hers, stopping her before she opened it. "This isn't over," he said softly near her ear. "I'm getting you back in my life where you belong, and I'm giving you advance notice that I'm not gonna fight fair. Whatever it takes, that's what I'll do." Taking her gently by the shoulders, he turned her around and ghosted the pad of his calloused thumb down her jaw line. "You belong to me."   ~80%

Nineteen year old Avery Jones can play the guitar as well as any guy. Better Even.

Brutal Strength, one of the biggest bands around, needs a new lead guitarist.

Seems like the perfect fit, except for one big problem. Temperamental lead singer Marcus Anthony won't allow a woman in his band.

Read Love Evolution, a rock 'n roll adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

Love Revolution (Black Cat Records, #2)
Series: Love Resolution (Black Cat Records #2)

The 2nd book in the Black Cat Records Shakespeare inspired series has more MUSIC, more ROMANCE, and much, much, more STEAM...

The wheels of love are always turning at Black Cat Records. Things are just starting to settle down there, but two Texas sisters are fixin’ to stir things up again at the Vancouver record label. CEO Mary Timmons sets spirited country superstar, Sara Daniels, on a collision course with cocky rocker, Chris Alex. Meanwhile, Brutal Strength’s suave drummer, JR, has his head turned by pretty young intern, Samantha Daniels. Do all their highways lead to happiness or will the wheels fly off when the sisters’ tragic past comes back to haunt them?

Love Revolution is a rock ‘n roll romance inspired by Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and is the second book in the Black Cat Records Trilogy.

About the author:
Michelle Mankin is a young adult romance writer as well as a self proclaimed giant... inside of her own mind!
For many years she worked in the insurance industry as an underwriter. Somehow, the boredom didn't kill her but the hour and hours of looking at facts and figures provided ample time for her mind to wander.

Love Evolution is her debut novel. A rock 'n roll romance based on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. It is the first in a planned trilogy using the plot underpinnings of Shakespeare combined with the drama, excitement, and indisputable sexiness of the rock 'n roll industry.

When she is not putting her daydreams down on paper, you can find her traveling the world with her family, sometimes for real, and sometimes just for pretend as she takes the children to school and back.

  3. Love when couples get another book especially if they were put through the wringer. At least now hopefully they have a happy ending. I also imagine it would be hard for two rock stars to date. All the time away and all the media attention. Always great when a series just gets better and better.

  6. Oh I like how, along with the books getting better and better, the covers totally do too. I also love how many series you read! You meet so many great characters and always get to follow them on a long path since you often read about them in more than one book. I'm happy that you have really fallen in love with this series now!
