The Look of Love (The Sullivans, #1)Series: The Sullivans #1
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Bella Andre
Publication Date: 6/13/11
Format: ebook
Pages: 201

With THE LOOK OF LOVE, bestselling author Bella Andre introduces you the Sullivan family. In this fun and emotional contemporary romance series, when a Sullivan bad boy falls...he falls hard. And it's forever.

Chloe Peterson is having a bad night. A really bad night. The large bruise on her cheek can attest to that. And when her car skids off the side of a wet country road straight into a ditch, she’s convinced even the gorgeous guy who rescues her in the middle of the rain storm must be too good to be true. Or is he?

As a successful photographer who frequently travels around the world, Chase Sullivan has his pick of beautiful women, and whenever he’s home in San Francisco, one of his seven siblings is usually up for causing a little fun trouble. Chase thinks his life is great just as it is—until the night he finds Chloe and her totaled car on the side of the road in Napa Valley. Not only has he never met anyone so lovely, both inside and out, but he quickly realizes she has much bigger problems than her damaged car. Soon, he is willing to move mountains to love—and protect—her, but will she let him?

Chloe vows never to make the mistake of trusting a man again. Only, with every loving look Chase gives her—and every sinfully sweet caress—as the attraction between them sparks and sizzles, she can’t help but wonder if she’s met the only exception. And although Chase didn’t realize his life was going to change forever in an instant, amazingly, he isn’t the least bit interested in fighting that change. Instead, he’s gearing up for a different fight altogether…for Chloe’s heart.

So, I've finally met the infamous Sullivans siblings. Well, just Chase, but still.  Since I finally started reading Adult Romance again over the summer, readers have been recommending Bella Andre's books, this series in specific. I'd only read one of her books Love Me, and adored it. I wanted to more of her books and to learn what the fuss over The Sullivans is all about.

I get it. What Andre delivers in The Look of Love is a sweet romance with a lot of heart. Chase Sullivan was an honorable hero. A man who will go out of his way to help Chloe, offer her anything she needs, and....falls head over heels, instantly in love. It was sort of nice to see the man fall in love before his leading lady. And boy, he sure gives Chloe a multitude of reasons to trust him, like him, and fall in love right back.

The Look of Love isn't a very long book, but I found it to be just right. The storyline moved quickly, necessary because of the length, but all the pieces seemed to fall well into place. I truly enjoyed the book. A nice escape.

From This Moment On (The Sullivans, #2)Series: The Sullivans #2
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Bella Andre
Publication Date: 8/30/11
Format: ebook
Pages: 176
Source: Received from tour host for review.

With FROM THIS MOMENT ON, bestselling author Bella Andre introduces you to Marcus, the second Sullivan bad boy, whose life will never be the same from the moment he meets Nicola….

For thirty-six years, Marcus Sullivan has been the responsible older brother, stepping in to take care of his seven siblings after their father died when they were children. But when the perfectly ordered future he's planned for himself turns out to be nothing but a lie, Marcus needs one reckless night to shake free from it all.

Nicola Harding is known throughout the world by only one name - Nico - for her catchy, sensual pop songs. Only, what no one knows about the twenty-five year old singer is that her sex-kitten image is totally false. After a terrible betrayal by a man who loved fame far more than he ever loved her, she vows not to let anyone else get close enough to find out who she really is...or hurt her again. Especially not the gorgeous stranger she meets at a nightclub, even though the hunger - and the sinful promises - in his dark eyes make her want to spill all her secrets.

One night is all Nicola and Marcus agree to share with each other. But nothing goes as they plan when instead of simply tangling limbs, they find a deeper connection than either of them could have anticipated. And even though they both try to fight it, growing emotions - and sizzling attraction - keep drawing them closer together.

Close enough for them to wonder if stealing one more secret moment together can ever be enough?

Having finished The Look of Love, diving straight into From This Moment On, I was expecting book two to have a very similar story. And yes, you have a gorgeous, honorable Sullivan brother falling hard and fast for a great woman, but this book felt completely different. And I like that.

In From This Moment On, the focus is on the oldest and most responsible sibling, Marcus. He is a man who is ruled by true commitment in all that he does, but that has left him a lonely man. Seeking a one night stand, Marcus steps out of his comfort zone and into a wild nightclub. There he meets Nicola, and the two are instantly attracted to one another. Nicola has a secret, though. She's a world famous pop star. And she's unhappy with the way she is perceived in the media. So now we have two people who are at crossroads, both lonely, and against all odds they find what they need in each other.

I truly enjoyed From This Moment On. The relationship, while quick moving, felt true and tackled real life problems. I love the Sullivans. I can't wait to start book three.

She'd had his body from the first, but he'd been so sure about his heart--his soul--were safe. That no woman could possibly touch him.  So then, why did being with her like this touch him as nothing had before?
And wehn, he had to helplessly wonder, had hot sex with his beautiful pop star turned into making love, out on a beach beneath a sun that felt like it was shining just for them?

Get the eBooks via Amazon US, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, the iBookStore, or the Kobo Store. Audiobooks are also available for the first five in the series (with more coming soon). Plus, keep an eye out for paperback editions coming from Harlequin Romance starting Summer 2013.

  8. I didn't use to be a romance reader much at all. Yeah, I like romance in my books when it's just a side thing that happens, but contemporary romance, not so much. But I've been changing my mind about that more since I started broadening the blogs I read. I find myself liking them much more now. This series sounds pretty good too!
