Veronica Cruz has been through hell and back. After disconnecting with the world two years ago to be at the side of her dying mother, she’s left alone, unemployed, overweight, and feeling a decade older than her twenty-eight years. When her best friend coaxes her into joining the local gym to ditch her depression and rejuvenate her life, she meets Noah. Assigned to help Veronica lose weight, Noah is everything she expected a young trainer to be—perfectly chiseled, supportive and motivating. Add to that, he’s incredibly sexy. He’s everything she’s ever looked for in a man. What she least expected was for him to fall for her, but he has. There's just one glaring problem: Noah is eight years younger.

Noah Quintanilla has his eye on a boxing title—someday. Down for a few months with an i
njury, his maintenance-boy pay at 5th Street Gym won't cut it. He’s finally given the opportunity to train. The catch? His trainee is an out-of-shape woman with a free week pass. Taking on the challenge, Noah stumbles into one of the closest friendships he’s ever known, and before he knows it, he’s in love. But Veronica’s not having it—the age difference is too much. Their platonic relationship means having to watch her date other men—something that would make him crazy. Believing he's the man for her, Noah sets out to prove that age is but an illusion, and there's more to him than just a number.

Teaser from Noah
Gio tapped his gloves. “You’re good,” he said then jumped out of the ring as the ref gave them a one-minute warning.
Abel finished up with the Vaseline then looked at him very seriously. “Keep your head in the fight. You hear me? I’ve never seen you fight with this kind of distraction out there.” His head gestured in Roni’s direction, but he never took his eyes off Noah. “You need to focus, or it’s gonna cost you. Just use that left jab of yours, and you should be good. Only thing this guy has is speed.”
The warning bell rang, and Abel jumped out of the ring. Noah stood up, glancing in Roni’s direction. She was facing the ring now, but the guy was still leaning forward, talking to her from behind. Focus, damn it.

When tragedy strikes in the ring, Giovanni Bravo falls into a deep depression, walking away from his dream of boxing to train instead. He agrees to a two month get-away, helping train Felix Sanchez, his high school best friend and now welterweight champ of the world. Once at Felix’s lavish boxing complex, he’s reunited with Bianca Rubio, someone he remembers only as the girl with the innocent doe eyes back in high school. Her refreshing, cheerful demeanor not only takes Gio’s mind off his troubled conscience, he finds himself falling for her fast and hard. The problem—Bianca is Felix’s girlfriend.

Having a sexy, famous boyfriend has its perks, but they come with a price. Bianca not only has to deal with the ongoing tabloid rumors about her boyfriend hooking with other women, but also his constant absence when he is on the road. So now that Felix will be in town for two whole months to train for his next big bout, Bianca is thrilled. He’s even asked her to move into his cabin while he's there. But when he leaves for days at a time to promote his fight, Bianca spends time getting to know Felix’s gorgeous new trainer and good friend, Gio. Increasingly drawn to his sweet smile and smoldering green eyes, she finds herself saying and doing things she normally wouldn’t.

As it becomes more and more difficult for each to resist the other, Gio crosses the line between them. He hopes that one kiss will alleviate the overwhelming temptation and clear both their systems, but it does just the opposite. Their temptation suddenly becomes an obsession--an obsession that quickly forces Gio to realize this is more than just lust. He's fallen hard and to his delight so has she. Now he's forced to make the hardest decision of his life. Risk losing his long time friend or walk away from the only girl he's ever loved.

Teaser from Gio

“I was serious, you know,” she said casually.
He glanced at her, his eyebrows pulled together. “About what?”
“You’re gonna be sore tomorrow.”
He chuckled now, really reminding her of Felix and how cocky he’d been about it his first time out. “Did you forget I work out every day?”
“I knew you’d say that because it’s exactly what Felix said. This is a different work out, Gio. You’re gonna feel it tomorrow—everywhere. I promise.” He smiled, obviously not worried about it. “I mean it. You might even consider soaking in the hot tub tonight. Felix was so sore the next day, and he didn’t even go as long or as hard as you did.”
A sudden evil smile spread across his face, and his eyes just about sparkled with humor. “Is that right, Bianca? So you’re saying I went longer and harder than your boyfriend?

Womanizer—check.
Cocky—check.

So when he gets the chance to make up for a past indiscretion that’s been gnawing away at him for months, he takes it. Doing so means he’ll also have to pass up pursuing Charlee, the only girl he’s ever been so fascinated by. But his inability to explain why they could never be has him dealing with a new kind of
guilt—the guilt of knowing he is unwillingly breaking her heart.

Teaser from Hector

Nestor smiled at Hector. “Looks like I’ll be getting laid tonight.”

“You think so?” Hector asked ready to slam Nestor against the wall.
“Oh yeah,” Nestor continued, smiling big.

Nestor almost walked past him, but Hector stepped in front of him. “And what makes you think that?”

Nestor backed up a step, pinching his brows. “Because I just invited some chicks to a keg party tonight, and they said they’d be there.” What had turned into a somewhat defensive expression eased into a smirk and Nestor added. “Hell, I may even have me a twofer.”

“Really?” Hector did his best to sound as calm as he could. “The redhead you were talking to out there?”

Nestor’s smiled. “Yeah, Charlee.”

Just hearing him say her name made Hector want to punch him in the fucking throat. “Charlee ismy friend which means she’s off limits to you.” He turned to the other guys who were listening also and raised his voice a notch. “To all of you.” Nestor began to frown, pushing Hector’s agitation to another level. Speaking louder and more demanding, he took a step closer to the idiot. “You have a problem with that, Nestor?”

Coming off the worst divorce in the history of marriages, Nellie Gamboa’s looking to let loose and make up for years of neglect. When months of building sexual tension between her and the young hot boxing stud, Abel Ayala, finally peak, she makes him an offer no man would refuse.

No promises. No demands. Just pure unrestrained passion.

Abel’s training for the biggest fight of his career. He has no time for a social life, much less a relationship. So this arrangement couldn't be more perfect. A beautiful woman asking him to help her alleviate her neglected desires—no strings attached. What more can he ask for?

As the lines between lust and something much deeper, begin to blur, Abel finds himself in an even bigger fight.

The fight to regain control of his now demanding heart.

Teaser from Abel

And finally Abel.

Feeling crazed with anticipation, Abel’s eyes searched for the ice/vending machine room like the one on his floor. The moment he saw it, he pulled her in it.

He answered her confused expression with a kiss as he closed the door and pushed her against it. “I need to refuel.”

All right, he needed to get laid more often. This was ridiculous. Obviously he’d been spending too much time training and not enough socializing, because he’d never felt this kind of urgency. Duly noted—he’d move a few things around in his schedule. She lifted her leg, bringing it around him.

“Careful,” he warned, biting her lower lip, “or I may just finish you up right here.”

“Do it,” was her only response, and he froze.

Pulling back to look in her eyes, he could see she was serious. “Right here?” He asked, his hand already traveling down under her dress.

She nodded as his fingers felt the dampness between her legs and how hot she already was, pushing his heart into overdrive. He squeezed his eyes shut as he leaned his forehead against hers.

“Sweetheart, don’t play with me.”

“I’m not,” she assured him breathlessly.

Cover Reveal + Excerpt: When You Were Mine by Elizabeth Reyes

We are so excited to share the sexy cover for When You Were Mine by Elizabeth Reyes. We also have a great little excerpt to share as well!

Title: When You Were Mine ( A Moreno Brother's novella)
Author: Elizabeth Reyes
Age Group: NA
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 2014

Synopsis

When her head was screaming “enough,” her hopeful heart continued to whisper “wait.”
It's the only way Valerie Zuniga can justify her ongoing addiction to the amazing but ever, elusive Alex Moreno. Mesmerized by the profound connection neither has ever quite understood, Valerie  accepts their crazy relationship for what it is—non-exclusive.
That is until the incredible highs no longer numb the sting of the intense lows.
As tasteless and slippery as pride can be, for Alex it's always been the hardest pill to swallow.
Faced with a final ultimatum, the choice is a no-brainer for Alex. Despite his insanely busy life he's determined to prove to Valerie, that not only is he ready to commit, it's what he's always wanted—to claim Valerie as his exclusively.
But just as it kept him from admitting his real feelings all those years, will his obstinate pride once again step in and ruin things just when they're finally getting it right?

Excerpt

"Why are you here?" she demanded.

"I wanna talk to you?" he asked hopefully.

"No," her response was too quick—abrupt. "I'm busy now. Try me another time."

Okay maybe he deserved that. But he knew she wasn't busy. He knew he had to convince her to hear him out. Alex was determined to say everything he came here to say to her tonight. And then he saw it. The movement behind her. His eyes zeroed in on a guy sitting at her small kitchen table looking equally as relaxed as Valerie texting something on his phone and there were two glasses of wine on the table.

Alex took him in for another second from top to bottom as the slow boil inside him began to bubble. The guy put his phone down then reached for the bottle of wine and poured them each a little more.

On instinct Alex put his hand on the door in case she even thought of trying to slam the door on his face. That wasn't happening now. And any hope of this night ending amicably like he'd been optimistic about was instantly squashed. He turned to Valerie whose earlier incensed eyes looked a little panicked now. "Who the fuck is that?"

FACTS ABOUT THE 5th STREET SERIES

By Elizabeth Reyes

I've mentioned this before, but some may not have read about it. The idea of "5th Street" came from my husband’s childhood street name and the street his parents and many of his friends still live on: 5th Street. Very often the street is referred to as a place. "So where you gonna be for the 4th of July?" "We'll be down at 5th Street as usual." I really liked how they thought of it as an actual place, not just a street, so I decided since this would be taking place in East L.A. really close to the 5th Street he grew up in, why not? I still get ribbed by some of his friends and brothers saying I owe them royalties for their stories. (Insert eye roll.) LOL. No, none are boxers.

· Most of my stories come to me in bits and pieces, and then the story comes together as I write it. Noah and Gio are probably two of the only stories I've written (with the exception of Breaking Brandon, which I'm still in the process of writing) that have come to me in their entirety from beginning to end.

· I've never cried as much as I did writing a certain event in Gio. Without giving away any spoilers, I'll just say it's the twist no one see's coming. =/

· As popular as the motorcycle riding bad boy heroes are these day, Noah and Gio are my only two heroes ever to ride motorcyles because I personally think they are so dangerous. Even then, I made sure they wore their helmets. If you recall, Roni didn't let Noah drive it in the rain, and again in Abel there is mention of her not allowing him to use it until he gives it a major overhaul. LOL. I'm such a mother hen even with my fictional characters. Anyone who has read all or most of my novels knows my characters always wear their seatbelts. They never talk on the phone while driving unless they have a hands free gadget of some kind, and they always wear protection. Unless of course the plot warrants they don't. ;)

· The plot for Hector came to me one day when my son came home from school one day and announced that he had finally joined the chess club. He is an excellent chess player, and I'd been trying to convince him to join the chess club forever, but he kept saying the chess club was for nerds. He shared lots of stories with me about the characters in the club, and when I teased him about there being any cute girls, he didn't immediately say no as I expected him to. Instead, he thought about it for a second before responding, "Yeah, but they're all so shy." My son is outgoing, spends most his time in the gym, and was a typical jock in high school. He in no way looked like a shy introverted chess player type, so the thought occurred to me what if, and the story was born. =D

· As with my novel Fate, while I feel Felix's story is part of the 5th Street series it's also feeling like a stand-alone or at the very least an extension of the series. For starters, I don't anticipate the title being "Felix." Also, I have something planned for his story that will set it apart from the others. I'm very excited and nervous about this by the way.

· I Googled pictures of De La Hoya's training complex up in Big Bear to better be able to describe a cabin of that caliber.

· I have a friend who very often cracks herself up most of the time before getting through whatever story she is telling. While she doesn't do the squeaking thing like Bianca, once she gets going, it's incredibly contagious, and I always find myself cracking up with her, even if I don't know what the heck she's laughing about. This was my inspiration for Bianca's moments when she'd crack herself up. I even cracked up a few times, picturing my friend as I wrote the scenes.
