"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week we're waiting on~
The Power of Six (Lorien Legacies #2)
I've seen him on the news. Followed the stories about what happened in Ohio. John Smith, out there, on the run. To the world, he's a mystery. But to me . . . he's one of us.
Nine of us came here, but sometimes I wonder if time has changed us—if we all still believe in our mission. How can I know? There are six of us left. We're hiding, blending in, avoiding contact with one another . . . but our Legacies are developing, and soon we'll be equipped to fight. Is John Number Four, and is his appearance the sign I've been waiting for? And what about Number Five and Six? Could one of them be the raven-haired girl with the stormy eyes from my dreams? The girl with powers that are beyond anything I could ever imagine? The girl who may be strong enough to bring the six of us together?
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They tried to catch Number Four in Ohio—and failed.
I am Number Seven. One of six still alive.
And I'm ready to fight. (From GoodReads)

Why we love this book: Book 1, I Am Number Four was an adventurous, tragic and fun book to read. I loved the movie, too. I really hope this book includes Numbers Four and Six because they were pretty badass and, well, if I'm honest, I want to visualize Alex Pettyfer while I'm reading the book. (Even though he's tragically too young for me!)
I still haven't read I Am Number Four, but this series sounds really good! I really should try it soon.

I just got this in the mail last week. I have a few books before it, and though I really - REALLY hate James Fray (the actual person behind the books) I still can't wait to see what happens!
ReplyDeleteGreat WoW! And thanks for stopping in to Me, My Shelf and I’s Waiting on Wednesday
Saw I am Number Four, but haven't read the book! Great pick!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW
I still haven't picked up the first book in this series. I'm glad you enjoyed the first book.
ReplyDeleteJust a small comment, the text on your page is very difficult to read. Maybe if you make it an off white color it will be easier to read against the black background. Just a though.
Happy reading!

ReplyDeleteThanks for your input. The text does show as off-white when I load the page. Wonder what it shows when you load?
