Book Six in the One Night with Sole Regret series.

This novella is 60,000 words long and includes an extra night, because one night with Force just isn’t enough.

He had planned a perfect weekend for her…

Gabriel “Force” Banner has been unable to get a certain sexy accountant out of his head. Sole Regret’s inventive drummer has created big plans to keep sweet Melanie entertained all weekend long. Unfortunately, Melanie arrives for their rendezvous with a bit of baggage that just might ruin their fun.

She didn’t mean to make things difficult…

Melanie wouldn’t blame Gabe if he left her at the airport with her bit of baggage, but he’s determined to make their limited time together work. When they leave behind the bustle of New Orleans and the rock ‘n’ roll scene to visit his serene oasis outside of Austin, Texas, their romantic weekend seems to be back on track. But life has a way of butting in at the worst possible times.

Can they learn how to support each other in the face of adversity or will reality destroy their budding relationship before it even takes flight?

Back by popular demand (or not) is the joint review with my bestie, Autumn Review!

So, all the members of Sole Regret have had their book. How excited were we to get back to Gabe and Melanie?

Autumn:  Well, you know that Gabe is my favorite, so I was pretty damn excited.

Andrea:  Me too! I was anxious to see his latest invention.
Autumn:  Definitely. Dr. Kink E. Inventor.
The glove!

Andrea:  Indeed. And I have to say, he exceeded my expectations. And here's the thing, your husband is very smart and mine is a good builder, so I'm thinking that between them, we can make this (meaning, the glove) happen.

Autumn: Oh yes!!! We'll have to set hard limits though. No duct tape.

Andrea:  lmao Word. That could get sticky.

Did your feelings about Gabe or Melanie change from their first to second book?

Autumn:  I love love love Gabe even more and I actually liked Melanie more in this one. She's a lot sassier in this one. I liked it a lot. She reminded me of Myrna a bit.

Andrea:  Exactly! She reminded me of Myrna too! She strong and very matter of fact. I think I love Gabe even more now. I had forgotten how much I adored Force.
Autumn:  I would just like to get my hands on the hawk and trim it down a bit.

Andrea:  Yeah, I don't dig Mohawks, but could make an exception for him.
Autumn:  I appreciate his uh...size. And I'm not talking about his hawk or his feet.

Andrea:  Obviously. I mean, who wouldn't?

What do you think about Gabe's inventions? Which one was your favorite?

Autumn:  I think I'd like to try his glove the most, but am curious about the sleeve. The funniest thing about is reading Gabe together is how we literally try to visualize what it's like. We dissect it and try to figure out how to make it real.
The beads with the rotating marble was nice too.
Rear door FTW!

Andrea:  lol I like how we both had our hands up, faces scrunched in concentration, trying to figure it out. I don't think I could pick. I WANT IT ALLLLLL!!!

Autumn:  We get serious about this.
Gabe's inventions are no joke.

Andrea:  There's no laughing in kink.

Autumn:  Truth.

How do you feel about the way Gabe and Melanie's relationship progressed?

Andrea:  I was very happy. It's so hard to remember that they've actually only known each other, what, a week? I thought it was nice that OC showed their insecurity about how fast they're moving. But yeah, very pleased.

Autumn:  Me too. It made it more realistic.
I almost forgot that Gabe has insecurities. Melanie was so sweet and accepting.
Favorite moment between them?

Andrea:  Well....I really loved the beginning, with their video chat. And all their steamy moments for sure. I loved the end, though, when Melanie puts their relationship first.

Autumn:  Yes!! I loved the beginning and I also loved when they see each other again. It was so sweet. They were both a bit nervous. I loved when she was watching him at the concert and when he took her home too.
The end was great!

Andrea:  Yes. The concert was great.

Autumn:  And the shower after the concert felt very intimate.

We gotta talk about the two people we despise, Lindsey and Nikki.

Autumn:  Urgh. Yes.
I want to cunt punt them both.

Andrea:  Hard. With steel toe boots. They are epic cockblockers.

Do you think Nikki is sincere? Or Lindsay? Which one do you hate worse?

Autumn:  I hate Nikki more right now because I think her motives aren't good. She's manipulative and conniving.
I have a theory about Lindsey too. They're both liars. Period.
I'm sure we will butcher Lindsey more in Owen's book. Unfortunately, I don't think we've seen the last of Nikki either.

Andrea: They are. I'm definitely more angry at Nikki. I can't imagine being that selfish and manipulative. Do you think we're supposed to believe what we've told about them, or are we judgmental bitches?

Autumn:  I don't think there is any way to redeem either one of them. I have no sympathy or compassion for either girl. I absolutely loathe the way that Nikki repeatedly tried to interfere in Mel and Gabe's relationship. Clearly she has issues and I know it was hard for Melanie, but I was happy to see that Melanie stood her ground.

Andrea:  Me too. I was incredibly frustrated over this part of the story. It's good b/c it made me feel, but yeah, so frustrating that I wanted to punch something.

Autumn:  Definitely. I loved how Shade confronted Melanie about it. He's an observant guy.

Andrea:  He is. You know how much I love Shade and his abrasive personality. I think he and Melanie could be good friends.

Autumn:  Agree! I think they'll have a mutual respect for each other as they get to know each other better.

What are your thoughts on Adam?

Andrea:  Adam. You know I think he's sexy, but such a Debbie Downer. I actually am very excited for his book. Madison, on the other hand, has me worried.

Autumn:  Right! She seemed so insecure in this book. I feel like I almost need to go back and reread their first book before their next one comes out. I don't remember being that way. Adam has a lot of issues. He's my least favorite but I admit that I'm interested to see where his story is headed.

Andrea: Sex club in New Orleans.

Autumn:  I'm really liking the way OC is structuring the rest of the series. It seems like the rest of the books will all be in the same time sequence as Gabe and Mel's weekend. Sounds like a lot went down in that one weekend!!!

Andrea:  It does! I really think she's going in a great direction. I'm excited.

How would you rank the members of Sole Regret?

Autumn:  Gabe, Kellen, Owen, Shade, Adam

Andrea:  Well, my feelings have changed. I forgot how much I loved Gabe, but won't try to take your man. Shade, Gabe... I'm torn between Owen and Kellan, so they share a spot. Owen is hilarious and sweet, but Kellan likes pie. Poor Adam. Hopefully his book will raise his status.

Autumn:  Poor Adam.
Gabe is just....umph

Tell Me in five words.

Andrea:  Anticipation. Sexy. Kinky. Funny. FRUSTRATING.

Autumn:  Hot. Inventive. Infuriating. Flirty. Anxious.

Andrea:  Good job. *fist bump*

Autumn:  *bump*

And then his mind went blank as his body strained against hers and he flowed into her, not just physically - he could have done that with any woman - but spiritually and emotionally. He was all tangled up inside Melanie Anderson, in dozens of ways, and it was a puzzle he never wanted to solve.   ~ebook, 57%

Oh, I love it when you and Autumn do these reviews, Andrea! :) As I've said before, Gabe & Mel's book is the only OC book I've read so far. *hangs head* But I was very excited about Tell Me because I loved Gabe and Mel so I really wanted more about them. I'm glad you and Autumn loved this one so much! Y'all did a fantastic review here. And I hope y'all will keep us posted on your hubbies' progress on your toys! ;)

  7. I absolutely loved this review with the two of you! As I love having these conversations with Shelley.

Who is Nikki & Lindsey? That has me freaked out a bit, because I do not appreciate groupies in these books! Ggrrr! but I like ya'lls plans to get rid of them! (Shade is my favorite also!!! EEEP! -- his next book is gonna be cray when his ex wife finds out about her sister!)
